Why do you think LCZ is a chronic care drug? It was PC that launched Diovan, and both it's indications for HF and post- MI. There are many of us still aRound who have great relationships with the IM and Cardiologists who will be prescribing LCZ. That's why it is a PC drug!

 

I know you saw the news this morning regarding LCZ and this news prompted your post. Very understandable. However, Gen Meds, is not PC. In November, there will be a big announcement regarding PC. The KAMs, along with the PC specialists, plus the Chronic. Care field force will launch LCZ.

You don't have to agree or like this - in fact, you could ignore it. That's fine. But this is what's going to happen.

 

Hmmm PC Specialists or NeuroPsych will NOT sell this. All of PC will be gone come February 2015. Announcement will be November 2014. End of story. End of discussion. Let it go. Better yet look for a new job now!

 

I don't really think it is the end of the story. Or the end of the discussion. I don't think I will just let it go. I might look for a new job but show me a pharma rep that doesn't keep their eyes open all the time. There is actually a great chance that PC will sell LCZ because Novartis wants to throw everything at this drug if the data is as good as they think it is going to be. It is going to be all hands on deck for the launch. It is a relatively small expense to keep PC reps in the field selling after the reduction in force we had recently. The potential upside outweighs the expenditures.
After November comes and goes and there is no announcement, I hope you remember to come back and say what an idiot you are. There are always fools like you at every company that pretend to be in the know and 99% of the time they are wrong.

 

Remember, all decisions have been made. Certain people in the company know about the announcement that will be made in November and had a part in planning it.

The days of a huge amount of people launching a drug. Pluse nvs can say what it wants but it may take 15 18 or 20 more months to bring this to market.

 

The KAMS?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me? They don't do anything now but take office days and act like they work while the PC rep in the territory does EVERYTHING. Then when numbers go up they try to take credit. My KAM knows where one nursing home in my area is and that's because I took them there. They have never even met my top LTC physicians! What a joke. If NPC makes the move if letting these lazy asses launch this drug then they deserve a pathetic launch......and that's what they will get. They have no relationships in cardiology, FP and IM...but leave it up to Npc to make another Stupid decision.

 

AGREED! KAMs should be first cut! What a worthless cost to the company.

Useless KAM here so let's answer some of your PC pea brained questions since you are children and can only say others do not work to make yourself feel better that you work 2 days a week. Most humans have a conscience so they feel bad stealing from the company 3x a week so they tear down the KAMS/ others to feel better. My reps work hard and are good and we help each other. I know what I do and most reps couldn't do it, but they could learn so I am better than them right now and needed, just like I need them to keep working with the doctors. I have a lot of experience which is why I have the KAM job. Not a big deal. So to answer questions,
1- no one knows when exp will go generic, best guess is a year or so.
2- exelon patch will make 450+ million this year so whoever said we are making no money and PC is costing too much is an idiot.
3- LCZ will be sold by PC unless critical care hires multiple sales forces you need more than 1-2 teams for a product expected to bring in more money than diovan. All signs point to PC having a big role, especially with their relationships.
4- as a KAM there may be opportunity there may not be who knows. Most KAMS don't have cardio experience but selling into institutions and ltc places could be an option but again who knows. I know reps like to tout their huge cardio experience but a trained monkey could have sample dropped diovan. There are probably 20, 000+ reps that have sold cardio drugs so you are not special not even by a long shot so get over yourselves.

So stop hating on each other and wait till you get your ups my choice or just shut up.

 

When you say that Exelon Patch will make 450+ million this year you are correct. However, this does make mean the Revenue stream for Patch will be positive. The sales force and HQ overhead for this product will begin to cause a declining or negative revenue stream, where expenses>sales. Generating sales and making profit are 2 different things.

 

The reps have little to do with the 450 million in sales. If they cut all the reps today, the exelon patch numbers would stay flat. It's not like you slackers increased sales with your 13.3 messaging.
