Just got a message that my new company car is in and it was delivered to a dealer 65 miles from my house. What gives?

I have a Ford dealer 2 miles from my home and 5 within a 30 mile radius from where I live.

Now it's going to be a 2.5 hour ordeal just to pick up my new fleet vehicle.

    So stupid.

Don't worry about the distance. Worry about the color. If it's BLUE, leave it there and RUN for the hills. They are nothing but trouble

Why are you getting on cafepharma to bitch about this. You act like it interrupt s your day. You can record your soaps and double up tomorrow. This board is for serious posts on how we can get better as reps and improve patients lives.

If the interior is gray to not take it even if the exterior is not blue. The gray will show all the stains after your manager and RD ridealongs. Unless it is PW then you only have to worry if you are a guy.

Make sure the windows are tinted. If the visor doesn't have an extension got the side window call Fleet and say they messed up your order. You cannot risk this.

Only certain dealers participate in Fleet Car Delivery Services. It carries very minimal profit for the dealers and was once viewed as a "loss leader" in the past to drive business to their service departments (high margin).

More dealers are dropping the service as more Fleet Service Providers move away from dealer based service departments and to services like Jiffy Lube.

So........stop crying and moaning about a long drive to pick up a company provided vehicle. Are you serious!!!????

I am due for a car replacement soon. What would you recommend? Fusion & Escape are fine but is one really better than the other? Can I pay extra for an AWD Escape? Employee responses only, no yahoos interviewing asking for a Benz. Thanks.

Escape, new ones are a little feminine looking on the outside, but new interior is nice. Skip the AWD and upgrade to the SYNC/media center package.

I had a blue one and my radio sucked. At night, the AM was all static. I heard the red wons have better radios.

Thank you, waiting for the fleet email. It will be interesting to see what they charge me out of pocket for AWD and/or Sync package. I now cover a snow belt so perhaps fleet will pay for AWD. Oh well, I won't complain as a car is a car even if I have to throw in a few bucks.
*That blue car guy has some real issues. Maybe he should sell Viagra.

I'm begging you. Please get over yourself. You are not in demand. Congrats you got the job. Please wake up. This is not 1990.

Wrong area to post friend. This is a car discussion amongst current employees. 1990? Most of us were in high school. Go somewhere else, preferably your local unemployment line.

You are right. The 1980 HC football discussion is on the Frankie W thread. Anyone wanting to watch the HC vs Northern Cambria game, I will be showing it before the SB. I love watching that one, the 84 trader is a thing of beauty.

I have an Explorer (manager) which I like. However, blindspots galore making city parking difficult. Escapes are nice and much easier to park at med centers. If you are taller I would sit in the Escape first before ordering.

Just spoke to DM. Sees they are finally recalling all the blue cars. Something about too much color in the paint. They are an eyesore and dangerous. Bout time

New Escape is definitely smaller (read tiny) than the older (boxier) model. Five strengths of Latuda two boxes each fill the cargo area. If you are over 6 ft. tall you're gonna regret ordering it. I do. Not sure if the Fusion has more legroom. I would also stay away from the blue ones, radio sucks.
