Stop modeling your management style after CM. It ain't working. Create a positive moral, make people want to be a part of this company, create a sense of loyalty. When you empower your people they perform. When you rule by intimidation, threats, arrogance, cockiness, self righteousness you WILL fail. That's a fact. Try a different approach and see how the people react. See what they are capable of and were always capable of bit just need to be in the right environment to let it shine. Wake up! You're better than this way of managing and you know it. People don't even care about LCZ696 right now knowing that analyst tore it apart recently. It will be an uphill battle. People are only as good as their leader and leaders are only as good as their teams. You should know this with your football past. Coaches make a huge difference. MOTIVATE don't INTIMIDATE or you will LOSE!

AMEN! You know you have a horrific morale problem when people want the package over the job here. Don't they know how bad it is out here? Don't they realize how miserable people are?

“The one thing that is guaranteed to get you up off the ground the quickest and most consistently is a realistic list of dreams and goals.” Lou Holtz

And Novartis is not reality....no realistic goals, numbers, development (shut out if regional doesn't approve).

Folks, collect your paycheck, save, invest and simply view NPC as what it is. A paycheck. That's it. And screw the leadership of this company.

AMEN!!---Motivate and be an inspirational leader...don't resort to threats and arrogance...It didn't work for past leaders, but only ruined them..show a little compassion and be sensitive and you may just win people over.....It doesn't say much for your organization when talented people would prefer to have a package...look how many didn't even post for positions...

Oh, please. I love it when people grab 1 small data point and try to prove a point. Throw the baby out with the bath water.

High dose valsartan compared against lowest dose of enalapril. (Isn't that a little hypocritical since we would bash benicar for comparing their high dose to diovan lowest dose?). Also skewed data due to not including patients in study with certain side effects so expect the negative side effects to be much greater in the clinical setting than what will be stated in the PI.

So, for the record, the dosage in the study wasn't the "lowest approved dose" for enalapril

Per their own PI, The recommended initial dose for heart failure is 2.5 mg. The recommended dosing range is 2.5 to 20 mg given twice a day. Doses should be titrated upward, as tolerated, over a period of a few days or weeks. The maximum daily dose administered in clinical trials was 40 mg in divided doses.

So their initial and maintenance dose may very well be 2.5 bid. The goal would be to titrate if it is indeed tolerated.

I couldn't agree more. He was snippy on the last call, cutting people off. He is extremely insensitive considering novartis is about to turn the lives of several employees upside down. He lacks tact. Richard R., I happen to think all of the goodness and genuine care that we feel from Christi Shaw is

I couldn't agree more. He was snippy on the last call, cutting people off. He is extremely insensitive considering novartis is about to turn the lives of several long-time employees upside down. Richard R., I happen to think all of the goodness and genuine care that we feel from Christi Shaw is cancelled by your lack of tact, and cold disposition. Get a personality!
