Here an odd project in Basel conducted by Jurgen Brokatzky-Geiger Head Corporate Responsibility with the co-sponsorship of Steven Baert, Head of Human Resources.

So as I understand it, Jurgen Brokatzky-Geiger and Steven Baert would like to encourage Novartis Associates to volunteer to do certain work for a “good cause”.
The good cause would appear primarily to be Jurgen Brokatzky-Geiger’s own bonus. Top of the list in the search for “volunteers” is a call for 3 people to do basic office work for Jurgen Brokatzky-Geiger. SERIOUSLY! In the annual report Jurgen Brokatzky-Geiger is reported to earn 3.4 million Swiss Frank annually.

This multi-million man is expecting low paid clerical associates to volunteer their time (i.e. work for free) so that he can run his office properly? Wow!

You know what would be a really good expression of Corporate Responsibility to show they are really committed to the message they are trying to spread; for Jurgen Brokatzky-Geiger & his Steven Baert to set a really good example and donate half their salary to United Way or another charity that does good work!

Jurgen Brokatzky-Geiger as a german of “that age” would be well advised not to use imagery on his website of people with outstretched hands; it may offend.
