Now that is HILARIOUS. Don't you get it? They want a lot of us to leave. That will keep them from having to pay severance packages for when they start to cut us. From what I hear the plan is to keep all of us to combat the Abilify LOE coming up, but 6 months after that they will reduce the sales force as there is no need to do much more in this class. You've seen AZ do massive cuts for Seroquel xr sales force already. After abilify goes generic there will be only about 6% of the oral aps market that isn't generic. GAME OVER. There will be no reason to have more than a limited sales force to do some reminder details and drop samples. Hope to be one of the luck ones that get the package because once we go into harvest mode on Latuda sales goals and incentive comp will get even more wacked. I can see them giving us partial credit for Rx's from less profitable channels like Medicaid. Could you stomach being here when they decide to give us only one third credit for all Medicaid Rx's in your territory? Mark my words, that will happen.

So... Retention bonus??? You've got to be on crack!!!

Agree with almost all of you post above. Better chance of us getting a "go away" bonus than a retention bonus. LOL!

I think you are confusing this with the base pay adjustment that people get from time to time. If you came to the company and didn't do a good job negotiating your base pay they will look at your base compared to others at this company and the industry as a whole. If you are really low they give you an adjustment of say an extra 3% or an additional increase. Don't look at it as you've done a good job bonus. You have to look at it as a you are being extremely underpaid compared to others at this company and in this industry for here you go.

Don't take it as a sign that you are safe when the chopping comes either. They gave a lot of those "adjustment" increases to many in managed markets over the past couple of years and I'm sure you've heard how many of them were let go earlier today. Good luck to all you managed markets people who were severed today. I'm afraid you are the tip of the spear and much more "trimming" will be made over the next few months. Sorry that you all were the first to feel the pain.

    God bless.

Not true, I know it was given to someone with an already high salary. They cherry picked.

Not true. The elevate the base pay of the lowest 20% of the sales team as long as they don't have anything lower than a fully meets expectations in the past 2 to 3 years.

Nope, that is untrue. I know people with very high salaries that got a bump and people with lower salaries that didn't. They all got the same review in the last 2-3 years. That's the truth.

You are wrong. The poster who stated the peeps at the bottom 20% in base salary pay is right. Actually, this year it was the bottom 22.6% on the Latuda side of the house. So if you got it know you are on the low end of the base pay spectrum here.

No that is untrue, I know people with exactly the same salaries where one received the bonus and the other didn't. Have these retention bonuses been given out in the past or is this the beginning of a selection process for future lay-offs?

You answered your own question. No pharma company has ever paid this type of money either to bring possibly underpaid employees to an average pay or bonuses for retention, especially without advising employees that it is a retention bonus.

In most cases employees are aware that a company is downsizing and the employee agrees to a retention bonus, if they are willing to stay until a future date. In those cases both the company and the employee agree on the terms. the employee can then weigh the amount of the bonus vs finding another job.

I'm retaining water. Does that mean I'm going to be getting a bonus?

So my manger tells me I'm getting a 3% adjustment "bonus" and that only like 18 to 20% of the sales force is getting one. Only the top performers who we want to keep happy. Then I talk to someone in my region and she got it too. Then she talks to another and I talk to another and so far we have confirmed that we all received the 3% adjustment "bonus" except for one of us who we have not been able to speak to yet.

Just another lie. I'd be interested to see how many people didn't get the 3%. I bet a bunch of RBM's post that they are a specialist and they didn't get on just to save face for telling us all yet another lie.

It's not going to stop any of us that can leave for Alkermes or any other company from leaving. Buncha liars!!

BTW, why did they lady who was brought in to fix the reporting and goal setting numbers quit? We've been told why. Will you have the guts to tell us the truth? I didn't think so.

I know good reps that didn't get the retention bonus. I know someone with an already super salary that got one. Again, they cherry picked. All of the competing companies out there are onto Sunovion and what they are doing. It's all a lie.

Same thing in my district. The three reps in my district that I'm super close with and I discussed and we all the 3% adjustment. Doesn't sound like it was the elite 18% of specialists like my RBM said that got it. Sounds like almost everyone. Did you RBM tell you like ours did that it is extra special because it goes into effect before our merit pay raise so the % increase we get after our yearly review will be based on our new 3% larger salary. Oh goodie. Now I can make slightly more for a company that has no future, lies to me and can't set goals or accurately measure sales numbers.

Bring on SUN101. That will save all of us on this sinking ship. LOL!!

It's a volunteer environment. Be thankful you have a leader who while small in stature is a giant in his own mind. He is so inspiring when he steps on the stool! And When he whips the mob into a frenzy with SWOOSH!
