Cool, this is when you pick up your fake smile at the hotel door on arrival and wear it for 3 1/2 days while sitting in meetings for 12 hours a day listening to stooges talk crap out the side of their mouths. Can hardly wait.

I wonder if this will be another dog and pony show designed to make us feel like there is a future and a pipeline here so that those of us who are left won't quit. Do you think the Aptiom field team will still be employed by the time the national meeting rolls around?

 

yes, the obvious goal is to reassure employees that you work for a viable company. This should work as most employees do not look at the overall status of the company. we are too busy doing our jobs to see that the stock dropped 33% this year (think about you reaction if your 401k dropped 33% in one year), everyone in corporate who could leave already left, there really is no pipeline. It is a combination of being too busy doing your job and not having access to the right information.

The Aptiom salesforce will not change. Start with a drug with no market, add in bad managed care coverage ( we do not need to contract), start with bad marketing materials and shaky studies. change messaging many times oxcarb patients, no do not go after oxcard patients, next generation of Tegretol, new chemical entity. how can you expect physicians to understand where to place the drug? Completely flat growth, do the math and still nothing changes. we have years to go before DSP wakes up.

 

It will be an 80s theme for songs. The real question is will he be bringing the step stool to be better seen by the masses. Hope so!

Don't forget the BS sessions in the big tent where they rely on the reps to sit and applaud all the bull shit rah rah stuff.

 

Circuses take place under the big tent and yes, you will be clapping like a trained seal. At least it is a few days out of the field where you will not be trying to convince physicians that Aptiom is a viable drug.

 

All the hot chicks are gone now anyway - worthless meeting.

 

What the heck is this meeting about anyway. Why not save the money and pay the reps more bonus $$.

 

Gotta justify the salaries of many marketing people and managers. Why else have a big meeting?

2 1/2 days of agonizing BS. Big tax right off for company but useless for most others.

 

Some of these drone mgrs act like dogs in heat over these meetings. WTF Get a life!

 

I can think of only one manager that this applies to. Once he lays eyes on his prize from training the world stops. It is an every national meeting event. Discretion must not be a required skill for a manager here.

 

Wtf fly everyone out at 5:00am for a noon start. Then get everyone home at midnight on Thurs. Dumb aSses. Waste of time and money.
