Why were there layoffs in neurology?

I was recently contacted by a recruiter for an open position. Wasn't there a recent layoff? If so, why are there open positions if there was a downsizing? Are the two anti-epileptic products well received by neurologists? I currently work for a train wreck company and am looking for some real world feedback as to the culture etc. to see if this is a company I should pursue jumping ship for. There aren't a lot of good pharma options out there right now.

no need to trade one train wreck for another.

That's the way Eisai operates....chew them up spit them out...make more promises...bring in more unsuspecting victims...and the cycle continues. Didn't used to be this way....but that's how the last 5 years have been. It all starts with impossible goals and it trickles down from there.

And the lead product has a box warning for homicidal ideation...good luck!
