The Republicans have had 7 years to repeal and replace Obamacare. They have a 237-193 majority, and can't get it done because what they slapped together is not cruel enough for some of the ghouls. We've read plenty of analysis of what they shat forward earlier this month, but there reportedly have been some changes. So, there will be a vote tomorrow for sure and there is definitely no legislation that anyone can read tonight - which is astounding. It's not necessary for Republicans to know exactly what they're voting for as long as they're sure that the wealthiest get tax cuts, untold numbers of the not-rich will die premature deaths, and millions will suffer.
It's a crapshoot for sure. Speaking of cutting expenses, last week, word that President Trump’s budget would cut $190 million in Homeland security funding to New York prompted NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill to say the move would deprive the city of “the backbone of our entire counterterrorism apparatus.” “This funding is absolutely critical,” O’Neill said. “It is the cornerstone of preparedness and prevention against terrorist threats, and enables us to do what we can do to keep the city secure.” Keeping America safe - too funny.
Yep, with 21 more Republicans than Dems, it's the Dems' fault. Or maybe it's that (what do they call it) dark force that secretly made a guy born in Africa (who is, in reality a Muslim) have enough power to kill it. Personally, I think whoever let Ryan handle this needs a brain transplant.
So true. My dinner party and my lovely wife are laughing at those fools. We are also laughing at those here that still defend the carnival barker.
Trump began his remarks by lamenting that Democrats didn’t back this bill. “We were very close … it was a very, very tight margin. We had no Democrat support. We had no votes from the Democrats. They weren’t going to give us a single vote, so it’s a very difficult thing to do,” said Trump. Did he really expect Democrat support when the GOP wouldn't even give Merrick Garland a hearing?
A pack of lies that can only be put forth by the likes of a hysterical, idiotic liberal. Obamacare has been a disaster. It is collapsing. It is unsustainable and it provides second rate care at an ever increasing cost. Conservative Republicans voted against this pathetic bill because it doesn't live up to campaign promises, improve healthcare or lower cost. Freedom and free markets and flexibility are what's needed. I applaud them.
Nope! Not yet, not by a long shot. And the mayor is a bigger threat to the security than any budget cut could ever be.

It was a bad bill. Ryan has gone RINO. He's pathetic. If he puts forward a good bill that truly uproots Obamacare and introduces choice and more free market solutions then he won't have a problem getting a bill through. P.S. if Cruz was president this wouldn't have happened. He would have told Ryan that he expected a god bill based upon conservative principles which truly repealed Obamacare. And Ryan given his marching orders would have said yes sir, president Cruz and delivered such a bill. This is where Trump's lack of solid ideological grounding, lack of firm commitment to conservative principles, presents a huge problem. This is in both Ryan and Trump when you really think about it!
Agree but Cruz puts people off with his Jesus-boy routine. He's welcome to believe that in private but shove it down our throats? No thanks. People (especially women) don't trust him. Neither does the Senate so yes, it would have to NOT have his name on it.
If the repubs were serious about fixing Obamacare they would have raised taxes on targeted individuals and cut the defense budget by a third. Everyone says we are the richest country in the world and we cant have healthcare for every AMERICAN? Canada is laughing at us. P.S. Nancy Pelosi has got to go.
Hopefully, this fucking spells the end of Paul fucking RINO. This thing was Barrycare-lite and a fucking joke. It's on to tax and regulation reform anonopussy.
We do have healthcare for every American. Healthcare and insurance coverage are two different things, Doc Fool. I haven't seen anybody dying in the street lately. And no, Canada is not laughing at us, they envy us. They envy us our ability to get needed quality healthcare in a timely fashion and those that can come to us to get the healthcare they need. As usual, you are a fact-free fool!
He needs to get on to tax reform because that's one subject that will get both sides talking as Newt Gingrich pointed out last night. That bill was a total disaster.
