they make you sign a no compete which is an attempt to not allow anyone to work in GI sales 6+ months after you leave or get fired.

The only reason to take this role is to try to go to a bigger, better company in gi market. IM Health WILL and WANTS to Make that difficult for you.

Run from this company, run from the representative role and find a more well paying culture friendly organization

    You have been warned.

Surprised an organization would hold its own people hostage to their careers; especially sales representatives that are not even compensated at the same level of other reps in the industry. What a sad place to work.

I wonder if the CEO was held hostage in their career to ever work for any other pharmaceutical company or job for the matter. Unreal. Please stay away from this organization. Culture is dead. Obvisously

Clearly you have only had one real medical job?...Non competes are the norm, obviously you need to look at a different specialty.

Yes, non competes are the norm, however rarely enforced, and probably would not hold up in court. Therefore just a threat mechanism to bully employees into submission.

Also goes above and beyond - covering therapeutic treatments in GI that the company doesn't even have products on the market for! And the products the company has are medical foods, not Rx products!
