Are these damn backorders ever going to end?

How many more people can get fired? Is it really just about certain personnel who dropped the ball or is there more going on here?

All I know is this. . . . . there is no way the company can endure too many shortages for much longer. At some point, there will have to be some serious cutbacks.

I thought the right leadership is in place, but what the hell is really going on? Doesn't the government want for companies like Hospira to be able to provide injectables? Nutritionals? Anesthesia? Especially the oncolytics?

    Damn straight.

    Hospira team-

I wanted to let you know that Jim Hardy is resigning from Hospira, effective April 11, 2012.

Since joining Hospira in 2009, Jim has played an important role in our operations organization, first leading our global supply chain efforts and most recently overseeing our global manufacturing network as senior vice president of Operations. Please join me in thanking Jim for his many contributions and wishing him all the best with his new opportunity.

Our Operations leadership team is strong – comprised of veteran Hospira contributors and recently hired industry talent. These leaders will continue with their current focus and efforts as we execute a strategic transition plan. In the interim, I will continue to spend a substantial amount of my time with the Operations team to ensure continuity of leadership and support.

I thank you in advance for your support during the transition, and for your ongoing partnership as we continue our efforts to Fix the Foundation and position Hospira for Turbocharged Growth.

    Regards,
    Mike

    Wrong.

Mr. Hardy went to Under Armour for greener pastures.

And now we know his successor:

"As a testament to Hospira’s ability to attract top talent, I’m excited to relay that John Elliot, 60, will join us as Jim’s successor and our new senior vice president of Operations -- starting Monday. The press release announcing John’s appointment just crossed the newswires, and I’m confident you’ll agree he’ll be a terrific addition to our senior leadership team and to our recently strengthened Operations organization. John brings more than 35 years of broad operations experience to Hospira, 26 of those spent in the manufacturing organization at GlaxoSmithKline (SmithKline Beecham in the earlier years)."

    Hmmmm....
So the pasture for him at Hospira wasn't green?(turning brown quickly) Isn't that an admission things weren't going well. Why didn't Hospira try to keep him? Didn't take long to find a replacement. Sure looks like there is more to it than just better opportunity. Taking a supply officer job at a clothing manufacturer???

    Ok, fine chauchie.

But will it be an independent public company or will it be forced to sell itself and become a part of another entity due to it's inept and corrupt leadership?

I guess only time will tell.

    Toodles
