you forgot to mention that the doc was a FP. Never in the OR except during rotations during 3rd and 4th year med school and damn pissed that they are not making the coin that the surgeons make much less the device reps!

As a past pharma rep that hauled a!! because of the above posters' description and now a tenured device rep, this is the ultimate truth! Get off the thread if you are not OR reps. We do not need you slushing up anything anymore. Great comments above, case closed THE END! Go sell suits....or skirts. Great post comrade!!!!! They do not have a freakin clue do they?

Let's go comrades!! Unite!! We will undeniably join as one to maintain our med device superiority to crush the uprising of the pharma forces...HAHAHAHA. Geez man. Get a life. We all have to work under the conditions provided in the marketplace. We all know the next step from pharma is device, but there are good device gigs and "lower end" device gigs, Genzyme is the latter. Keep reminding yourself how important you are. Glad to see this thread getting action again. Entertaining. Go and jack more scrubs from the hospital so you can sit at Starbacks with your Ipad. Carry on comrade!!

Comrade, what exactly does genzyme do? My coffee comes from the OR lounge, lunch at 4 if lucky and home at 8 if lucky. No such thing as a free lunch right! Econ 101. Did your online degree not go over that? Good riddance! If you want to be productive, make me a sandwich!

Huh?? and your point is?? What side of the fence are you? You are not making much sense. Step back and summarize so we can get a clear perspective on your argument and can comment appropriately. More like high school grammer.

    Friend,
If you can not logically deduct the comment above based on the previous posts, I am afraid I can not help you. Perhaps an IQ issue is at hand. Get out of "the box" and if you are unable, indeed, there are other professions where you may excel. Good luck my friend and good selling...

The whole premise of this post is hilarious. Does what we wear has any meaning to our results?! Measure yourself by your w2. I wear a suit when appropriate, scrubs if going into an OR/procedure that day. The OP is a douche, as anyone else that has issue with what another wears. Get the job done and STFU.

Let's start a post if someone wears a brown belt with black shoes! or Fat people, that's funny, right? Douche.

Got it! You're a scrub douche. Measure yourself by your w2 = total douche. You are why this post is funny. Scrubs and W2's is what it's all about.

Why is the world would you ONLY want to measure yourself by your W2? I can think of five much more important things immediately off of the top of my head of how I would judges myself both professionally and personally to try to define my success in both areas! My W2 may be 6 or 7th.

To the above posters comment this is why all of you Med Device reps (I have been both Med Device and Pharma) come across so arrogant and egotistical. Wait and see how Healthcare Reform, specifically the device tax and hospital reimbursements being slashed by the Gov't, works out for you in 2013 and beyond. Be prepared to feel what Pharma did for the last 8 years or so. It has already started if you have any kind of market or business sense.

Wow, this is brilliant. You should write a book! The RN staff don't know how to take it. They become so confused they immediately give you instant access to their surgeon, you exceed quota, make Presidents Club, and become rich. I never knew it was this easy. All because of Dockers.

Just a note to the suit snob..... A good tailor can put in working button holes in any suit for about $5 per.
I'm thinking of having long sleeve scrubs made with "Functional Sleeves" and calling it Bespoke Scrubs.... The latest in Med Device fashion.
    Good Day, Sir.

I like it . I also want to know what the suit snob sells. Its always good when we( women) see a well dressed man. Its always good when you can say to some one hey I didn't recognize you with your clothes on. That would be to those of us that do wear scrubs

"Measure yourself by your w2" ????

What a jackass statement. If Ed Hardy made scubs i'd bet you would have a pair for each day of the week.

Agree. Seeing it get worse for Devices. Medicare will require that devices bid and negotiate prices. So if your company loses the bid; you risk being laid off.

Obama made a deal with Pharma saying if they helped support Obama Care, he would protect them from having to bid.

Devices got screwed. In some states, the bidding process has begun and in 2014 all States will follow. Time to get into another technology.

I hav worked in surgery for 7 yrs now and everyone in the OR makes fun of reps in suits b they look like corporate douchebags. If the doc respected the rep they could wear a thong. Your original story was both baseless and asinine.

I am sure you feel better about yourself making fun of someone trying to do their job. You are so cool. Were you the captain o the football team in high school?

    Grow up.
