This has to be one of the longest, most negative threads I have ever read. I am new to the industry and seriously have doubts about this company. I got a call from a recruiter and everything she said seems to be completely opposite based off Linkdin and this site.

 

Do not go to work for this company - I know you have to take things with a grain of salt on the site but the majority of everything you read here is absolutely true. Run the other way!!

 

It is very unfortunate, but this company is everything and more that is listed on this site. I was recruited as well and fed a lot of false promises. Unfortunately, did not view this site until after I was hired and met the wrath of DM and all the other insecure less than human beings at this company. I can't tell you how many great people were let go during the time I was there for no good reason, other than "we are going in a different direction". If you are someone in a secure job currently, do not take the plunge. It is not safe!!! I learned the hard way.

 

Unfortunately it is true. I also left a good job based on what my recruiter and DM told me. They recruited me hard due to my relationship with a very big writer in my territory. Once i came on board I went through, in my opinion, some of the worst training I have ever seen. It was unorganized and really just a waste of our time. My entire training class was either let go or had left within a year. Within this time, I saw or witnesses Kathy and Dave completely ruin people, just because they disagreed with them. I witnessed incompetent managers come on board who really had no idea what they were doing other then to be "yes" people to the management. My experience with this company was of complete disappointment and with 2 years I left. I was threatened, sent nasty letters etc. We talk a lot about empowering employees to run their business, and the opposite is true. It is run by over egotistical often incompetent fools.

 

Keep track of all the threats, remarks and things that you are told by management. United HR has been truly wonderful to work with and are keeping track of everything.

How are things over at AX?

 

About the same- Still about the greed, still have Managers with us in the field that cannot seeme to get out of their own way, and of course the biggest let down of them all Dave M is still trying to run the show. Still amazes me how badly this place runs.

 

Ditto, I was gone within a year, no warning, no severance , just let go. When I did land back on my feet I took all or at least a high percentage of my customers with me. Was threatened, had legal send me all sorts of nonsense, until my lawyer responded and that seem to shut them up. I was not shy about letting each and every customer know exactly who AC was and the less than ethical practices they employed. It was very effective and although my time was short, it really taught me to vette a company way better than to listen to a recruiter and DM tell you how great it is. I can honestly tell you that not one thing DM told me was truth, not one thing. I have met people who can lie well, but he has it down to a science.

 

All to common story with this company. Just need to realize that this will only be a job here at AC, and not a career. Get the contacts, gain the experience and then market yourself to a company that values its employees. Dave M and Miles follow the philosophy of... "Insecure Leaders NEVER develop people they replace them"- and those two are very insecure and insincere

 

I quit and left the industry a while ago. I rarely read this blog and only posted once before. I've received two emails recently . One from a decision maker and one from a Nurse Practitioner.
They both said 'it's not the same since you left. I can't get a hold of the AxelaCare rep that took over for you. I know when you left you recommended them but they only came here once and don't return my calls.
Any companies you can recommend because service has gone down real bad?'
I actually took no joy in these emails.
I was a bit crest fallen .
No excuse for the rep not to follow up but service? Can't blame that all on Optum at all.
Now - internally they will say ' She's a bitter ex rep! this is BS!!! It's not!
It's true. Sad but true.
Can't just blame DM or MN this time.
Top down needs to take blame and fix what was once a great company.
Please don't let this post fall on deaf ears Optum!

 

Be very careful speaking to old clients. AC loves to come after anyone who quits or they fire.
Unfortunately I have to disagree with you and the remark that it is not Dave M fault he is one of the top and it does come from him. miles? he's not smart enough for anything to ever come from him.

 

DM is not liked by Optum
He'll tell you otherwise but numbers are numbers. He will be the fall guy and rightly so for everything.
He is an empty suit.
Which makes MN a lackey who works for an empty suit.
He isn't the sharpest knife in th Axela drawer either!
The only saving grace is the way he slams KK and bad mouths her. He has her number....
