Worse nsm gift ever! Cheap sunglasses that have Bausch Lomb on it. Um. I'm Salix u idiots. I'm shocked they didn't have neon sides and say "spring break 2015!" Had to be factory over runs for some European eye convention. Then future so bright bit-wow, cheesy, bad, and cheap. Guest speaker discusses innovation and small things make teams happy ( Best Buy gift card story). When last time u gave a Salix sales bag? Be proud of the brand and we will too. Fking Bausch Lombs glasses? Amazing disconnect

No issues with glasses. I'm not one to complain about a gift. I do agree With earlier post. Leadership at Salix is questionable. Mm has zero industry experience and it shows when you speak to him. Surprised PApa leaves him in charge. We need a GI expert to help us here. How can you realistically look at an allergan or synergy competitor and see Mm capable of running a successful competitive operation with a team that has the same lack of experience? That concerns me and I am shocked the board isnt going crazy with this decision. PApa, you need to evaluate this situation. I know he reports directly into you but doesn't it concern you the slightest that the largest division isn't run by an industry expert but a contact lens sales director.

MM had no clue what he was doing in the contact lens side as well. Good luck to that. Two totally different markets. Wow! Papa isn't anywhere as smart as the industry thinks.

Pearson moved MM over to Salix before Papa came aboard and after Deb J resigned. Seems suspect and there are obvious relationships somewhere. Look at bios of our competitors leadership. Our leadership is a joke. Joe you said new leadership but not with Salix which is our biggest core asset. You inherited the GM and VP's. Time to walk the talk. We need to walk into offices with confidence that our leadership is well respected in the marketplace.

Walk into our offices with confidence that our leadership is well respected? WTH?
I am the only one that controls my confidence - offices but from me not leadership.

Salix was to be sold off and MM with it - after Valeant and then the deal cratered you are left with what you have. It wasn't supposed to go this way but it did. Why it is still this way is on Papa.

And it sucks being a member of an inexperienced brain-washed team led by an incompetent narcissistic micro-manager. The job search continues...:(

I see a lot of people bashing MM.. seriously? I get that he's young, but he's done a lot of things for Salix so far.

Every thing we've bitched about, he's fixed.

    Retention plan? Fixed.

Helpline sucks? Good news we're working with cover my meds

We hate doing speaker programs. No longer obligated.

Ive gotten to meet him on a few occasions and he really does care about what the sales force has to say. He may not have the most experience, but find someone at Salix who cares more about improving the sales force more.

I like Mark M too and agree he has made some great changes. That part about speaker programs though, not true for the central region. Lyon has a very different take on that.

Methinks the NSM was solid. People are all working to make Salix better then ever. Comp plan is incredibly lucrative. People have energy and want to make things great. All we have to do is do our jobs well and that is not a unreasonable request. As far as naysayers, I don't agree. Think we are moving in the right direction and things will be brighter than ever. Agree or disagree?

Learned a lot of new information at the NSM this year. For instance, I learned that many of the female PC winners don't wear underpants.
