Total BS; our relationship with Highmark is stronger than ever and I can assure you no Lightbox returns just increased usage of this cutting edge technology. Double D owns the Highmark catchment area; it's his backyard.

Wait, I thought that DD had a "national" role? How does he find the time to manage his Highmark relationship when he's so busy winging across the country, selling Lightboxes from Boston to Seattle? Did he clone himself? OMG if he did you should totally try to sell that cloning technology instead of your crappy catheters.

This thread is quite funny. I don't understand why it's on the Abbott Vascular board though. Abbott would never, ever want anything to do with this crappy company. Go start your own board.

I totally agree. Wondered the same thing. I laughed when I read that Miles White was looking to buy Avinger. He has ZERO interest in getting into a market with little to no growth. Avinger is in deep shit.

Go back to the start of this thread, it's Abbott people obsessing about the prospect of buying Avinger. Until the acquisition of SJM Abbott is Pharma company that dabbled in med devices. Avinger is an actual device start up. You can argue the merits of the technology but these people actual go out and sell physicians on changing the way they practice which is mush more than I can say for someone selling stents and balloons. I believe the Avinger folks jumped in to defend against the baseless attacks and accusations directed at their product and leadership team.

You have no fucking clue how Abbott Vascular started and now you are just as guilty making baseless claims. Avinger is a joke. Everyone including the Physicians to the financial community knows it.

I was there when Abbott; a pharma and nutrion company, decided to enter the med device company by buying Guidant VI. All the great legacy leaders and reps from GDT left over time because they hated the pharma culture. Some went to Edwards others to BSX, MDT or start ups. They took risks because they chose not to be treated as pharma reps.

These comments still have nothing to do with Avinger. The company is a joke and will be out of business by end of 2017. Mark my words. Abbott on the other hand is doing just fine…

You just proved my point, a pharma and nutrition executive intervening in a business that is vastly different. Abbott is a fine pharma and nutrition organization but they are getting their asses handed to them in VI by BSX. Maybe they'll let real device management from SJM take over so they don't squander another valuable acquisition but I doubt it.

No you proved my point. Patton dismantled them through PIPS followed by terminations and then massive layoffs. Few left on Thier own. The third rate Sheep stayed and were led to slaughter house

Apologies to the Abbott folks on here. Avinger is a small-potatoes little specialty device company that doesn't really deserve its own board. But, it also has a lot of unhappy ex-employees who just want a place where we can trash the management. This thread is all we have! I say sit back and enjoy the chaos.

DD has worked as hard if not harder than anyone in the industry. Show the man a little respect and stop with the anonymous attempts at character assasination. Grow up.

Thank you. Avinger needs it's own board at this point. They may be a small, worthless company but they have more disgruntled ex and current employees than most companies. I suggest someone start an Avinger board. It won't be up long anyway as they are counting down the months before they are all unemployed!
