    There is still a legacy Schering BACE inhibitor in the clinic. Let's hope it's just verubecestat sucks but not the BACE mechanism

    Full credit to Merck for testing this hypothesis and taking a really good BACE into the clinic. Sadly this is yet another example the the entire amyloid hypothesis is incorrect. BACE inhibition doesn't work, Gama-secretase inhibition doesn't work and antibodies don't work! Time for a significant re-think and always remember 'key opinion-leaders' only have 'opinions', it doesn't make them right!

    Upper management should consider stop preclinical neuro research and focus on BD&L
