Hold out for more than the 1 year contract that most of us idiots signed

What kind of package have they offered you? Good bad? Are people leaving?

1 year contract with no guarantee for renewal yet a non compete. Promises of other JnJ products coming but not out on paper

The comps are a joke. Most people are looking to jump before signing.

From what I've noticed that s everyone's deals are different. Of course the more business you can walk away gives you some leverage to negotiate, but even than your fighting to not make less. Confirming that all the side products your distributor might be carrying will be going away. No corporate cards, no expenses and no cars. Still paying out of pocket.

Did the NJ guys get removed yet?

Not yet. Heard both them and Philly got 1 year deals to prevent a mass exodus but reps expecting a big cut after a year

How is it going in Virginia where the recon reps went direct? Has it been more than a year? What do you expect in year 2? Have reps bailed out and gone to other companies?

it's well known that Juan wants to take all of the business direct. Expect the same results as spine. Crash the business and get promoted. That's the JNJ way.

NY here, after going direct 1 of the 2 distributors cashed out and split. His last gift to us was do a full NY territory audit and put together a list of every missing instrument and implant wise over the last decade which came out to about 2 million. He passed this onto the remaining distributor. Who than passed this onto us reps, some reps were threatened with not getting comission for this month, even tho their accounts were not the ones with missing instruments/inventory. People lawyered up. Safe to say everyone has been getting their shit together and are looking to jump.

Use your relationships! I showed my surgeons how we are being treated through emails, letters with responses and what to expect for service when I leave. They all responded exactly how I wanted them to, with disgust. I couldn't be more confident now looking at pretty nice offers I have received knowing I bring business with me. Get out there and start asking for offers, it's literally that easy!

Where r u getting offers from? Zimmer biomet is falling apart. Stryker sucks. Djo is over promising and under delivering.. I need to be a step ahead of corporate with ny now being direct

Look at the industry and how paychecks are shit from over 10 years ago. If you have relationships with surgeons then you should have ZERO problems getting a solid 2 year gaurentee. If you care more about what implant your gonna be stuck with then your gaurenteed paycheck, corporate has pulled one over you allready. You can ask for an ASR that a company could pay for to help out, (depending on business you can bring over) make them do the grunt work and collect a check for a few years. Get a side gig also, stock stem cells in a freezer and make more then you do off trauma for doing nothing. Lots of opportunity out there.

Why the move to go direct now? How many side lines did distributers have?

NY had 2 distributors, 1 cashed out and has a lot of "investments" in other companies. The one that stuck around was blindsided and only has this going. The NY Metro group has or at least had a lot of great side lines, but going corporate has destroyed a lot. One of the main ones was Stimulan which was free money with the right relationships. Great product that sold itself with no coverage necessary once they learned it. It however conflicts with J&J so its out the window and a lot of people are pissed. Gossip says certain individuals will be selling it still under other individuals that have no direct tie to J&J. Oh NY is a fun place right now.

Iowa/Nebraska should be next! The guys fly around in their own jets and do nothing for us reps.

Those two are jokers! The only reason they even were considered is that Dad made it happen and Depuy caved
