Just joined the Z-B squad and curious to know what nails corporate wants to push? Plenty of options to choose from, that's for sure. I've heard good things about the natural nail, but the Phoenix line looks sweet too!

Why the hell would you come here to ask this?

Doesn't matter what you sell is, it's probably back ordered and you can't get it.

Plus trauma isn't worth it any more

Tough gig.. Biomet has some quality stuff though. Is it worth the lifestyle is the question.

When Zimmer acquired Biomet, the VP/GM position was handed to someone who filled an EEOC quota and knew little to nothing about trauma and continues to demonstrate his significant limitations in trauma, products/procedural knowledge, product development/processes, consultant/HCP interactions and the list goes on to the laughable. These positions should never go to individuals based on diversity issues, since it's all about appearance and not substance. Rather, these positions should be earned by qualified, capable leaders/managers with proven track records, regardless of skin color or gender.

Perhaps one should look to SYK and Depuy Synthes for world class leadership and product portfolios that utilize platform technologies.

There are too many Monkeys running ZB Trauma - At least the Biomet side had some product innovation in the pipeline (ALPS PHP, Clavicle Plate, DVR etc) Zimmer sinks all its cash in "hail mary" products (Motionloc, Active Plating) whilst letting really good quality proven cash cows die a slow death.

If theses monkeys had spent some money upgrading the Zimmer PLP range/small frag with VA for instance i could be taking Synthes accounts left right and centre, rather than being limited to going after niche' wins.

ZNN Is a good nailing system, but probably should get an update in the next few years, mainly on the instrumentation side to keep up to date.

Also, for the love of God, please stop racing to the bottom of the pricing toilet in trauma!!!!!

You guys are killing the business.

Every RFP I've seen, ZB has basically whored themselves out to the lowest price. Especially when they have zero business in the account.

Dumping price is a lazy tactic that undervalues products/services and skews the market. Given the state of ZB Trauma, its products and strategic vision, are you really surprised? Competitively speaking, SYK products are largely based on platform technologies - broadest portfolio behind Synthes - and is sold by a well-trained, specialized sales organization, solid national accounts team and good medical education programs.
