cost cutting and efficiency is the name of the game! This guy wants a company without employees

I remember when he was a Diabetes DM back in 2002. He asked us all to provide him with an estimate of our Humalog Mox 75/25 weekly numbers so the team gave him an honest assessment.

He did not like the answer each of us provided and left a temper tantrum voice mail start with "I'm posed. I'm really pissed..."

And now he's the CEO and as a share holder, I'm pissed.

the guy is a narcissist pulled through organization by Bryce C, most of what he has touched has not worked out. Does not believe in surrounding himself with smarter people. Another meridian hills crony.

Say what you want about Dave Ricks - Free Speech and all, but get the facts correct. He is not a Harvard Grad. Purdue undergrad and MBA from Indiana University.

Correct. He clearly punches outside of his weight class.

Pharma CEOs don't need no stinking PhD from no stinking Ivy League school. We is to smarts for that.

DR won't be a good thing for all of you who like to "work" from home or all of you DMs who like your "remote coaching days" while watching the kids volleyball games.
New sheriff in town for sure.

DR will change the culture at Lilly.

I sure as hell hope so.

ST identified some of the cultural issues at Lilly with his famous paper, "On Leadership," but then did absolutely nothing to fix them while eventually running the company into the toilet. JL inherited a dirty nest but was clearly unable or unwilling to correct the many problems within the organization. If DR can right this ship he will go down as one of the the best CEO's in US history.

DR would sell this company for the right price. He has allegiances to nobody. He is very dangerous. Just look at the idiots he puts around him.

DR will pad his pockets while most of company feels the brunt. Too many years of salary freezes while executives and dead weight Vice Presidents join Meriden Hills country club. That is where it all takes place. J.B. is scum who coordinates.

    Hill person or valley person?

DR's ego is in the hills & talent in the valley.

the lower the probability of success.... the greater Rick's interest... unable to tell the difference between reality and dreams...likely to chase a mirage looking for a drink
