Do you think that this is good for us? I'm uncertain. Too soon to tell.

    Economies of scale.....

Change is inevitable, just a matter of how deep the blade will cut. In addition to sales-force reductions, I also see cuts at the operations level...no need to duplicate quality systems applications, HR, IT, purchasing, ect. I would also expect that the Bridgewater office site will be phased out over the longer term. No need for multiple levels of marketing program directors (what exactly do they all do except attend meetings?)

^^^above poster, very true, very good points. I do agree that there will be cuts on all levels, the extent...not sure yet. Not sure why certain geographies are still having interviews to fill? I don't think we will see change for at least 6 months or so. These things take months and months to complete. Anyone else heard anything? Thoughts?

I think it’s a good sign for our sales force that LifeCell interviews are continuing and vacant territories are still being filled. Any idea how many implant/expander reps Allergan has and how much geography they cover?

The deal is set to close by the end of January. Hiring freeze is on. One would hope that the leaders would remember what happened when they cut out all the experienced salespeople back in 2014, remember that?

They cannot let the experienced reps go. That will backfire. With other ADMs being comparable, it comes down to long-standing relationships. Take away the relationship, surgeons will jump off the boat in a heartbeat. Allergan knows the implant business but not the tissue business. Seri does not count.

Yes it does if you ask allergan.

You work for Carl Icahn's boy, Brent Saunders now.

Either LifeCell wasn't making the money or Brent really wanted it.

Brent Saunders doesn't have a passion for LC and its products, he wants to make Allergan look prettier for Wall Street and potential buyers.

He wants the products and the patents, maybe the people-but based on his history, probably not.

LS is about to be slimmed down. If he does what he did during the Forest/Actavis merger then prepare for a time of great tribulation, followed by a layoff. The layoff will be welcome after about a six-month rapture.

LC doesn't make pills, creams or anything standard and easy to replicate. It won't be as simple to dump people because the tissue process is highly technical and if the goal is to keep cranking out profits, you leave the formula that works alone.

Keep dreaming. The reality is that all that upper management usually sees is the opportunity to reduce the number of reps with the same call points. I actually agree with you, but not usually how it goes.

I agree with poster above. Same call points (plastics) = layoffs/reduction in numbers. Smaller territories will not need 2, 3 or ever 4 reps calling on the same surgeons. layoffs = happy shareholders, larger profits

I too agree. The question is from which side. Mix of both maybe but One would think Lc reps are far more technical l, valuable and produce way more revenue.

Was there any talk about downsizing or the possible overlap with Allergen breast reps? Interviewing and extremely concerned about this
