Head count reduction in Vaccines?

I'm hearing things from RM's about the need to slim down. Anyone else hearing anything?

 

Why did they add all those SHR's?

 

That was BEFORE the lackluster results of this year. I'm sure they wouldn't have done that now. I don't see hospitals or pharmacy creating that much revenue to support that team. I don't even think we need as many PHR's.

 

I don't think hospitals will generate much revenue for vaccines. They are mainly used in an outpatient setting.

I'm hearing similar rumors about cutting back. Why do they need all of us if we have at least 75% penetration by year end with no new vaccines on the horizon? Perhaps ACIP for 50-64 will keep us another year?

dont need 2 SHRs per district and get rid of some VAMs. They do nothing. I don't need another boss telling me to go into "key" pharmacies and review Prevnar with pharm techs. VAMs repeat the same accounts and strategies all the time. I am focusing on ...yes we know the same 5 -10 accounts you have been focusing on for years. Both offer nothing new and bring nothing in to help fill the money pot. Open positions have been consolidated to help ride any possible storm for TM's. If it gets so bad we are all gone, but I would rather be me than SHR/VAM.

 

The VAM team used to be a close, collaborative, well-respected group with minimal to no turnover. Then PFE came along with SAS. Now the only decent VAD left is Davitt. All others only look out for themselves, are ego-driven and could care less about people, as the Wyeth culture did. With no vaccines in the near future, would consider getting out as a downsize is inevitable.

1. His fascination with penetration, which is clearly a Flawed Metric speaks volumes.

2. Phrank has instructed to his DBM's that reps are Not To Place Orders on behalf of customers. What an idiot. Does Phrank not understand this is where the rubber meets the road? This is where the SALE TAKES PLACE!! We are a SALES ORGANIZATION. Moreover, this is Value that we bring to the account. Thank God they are calling us, A.Hole Phrank.

Phrank would rather his team do more busy work/activity than provide critical service to our customers!! This clearly illustrates how far removed he is from the sales model. This Moron is Activity focused instead of SALES FOCUSED. To this point, his Dead Tree personality could not sell water in the middle of a desert. His Leadership with respect to sales DOES NOT EXIST. Therefore, since he has no clue on how to sell, he will send you down a trail of busy work that he can chart into his GAY color coded spreadsheets... This does not YIELD SALES MORON!!

I think the RM was referring to their weight. This division is one Pfizer's pearls. There will be no reduction in the sales force anytime soon! You can take that to the bank!!!!!!!!

 

So true. Pfizer never downsizes divisions. Of course we are untouchable. Besides, they always make rational intelligent decisions regarding increasing and decreasing headcount. Nothing to worry about here...
