face it you losers. Youre all trying to play with the big boys and losing business left and right across the country. Nobody wants to work for your D-League company. I read a post earlier that said you can't even retain your top talent and something like 90% of your entire sales force has turned over in 5 years!!!! That tells me something. Between your incompetent management, sub-par products and atrocious comp plan/benefits, it's no wonder the industry doesn't respect you, the dr's could care less about you, and no one actively ever pursues working for you. Why don't you just sell out already to a mail order catalog company? You would do so much better!!!!!!

You're an idiot sir. "I read a post earlier..." really? Then it must be true then. I read a post before this one where the dipshit sounded like a bumbling moron. I guess it must be true too right?

Grosshans, is that you? You're still here old man? The above post has your sorry fingerprints all over it. Listen old timer, the truth of the matter is, not once has any Applied mgr ever in the past few years (to my knowledge) ever refuted those claims. Not ONCE. All you pathetic nerds ever do is hire one of Said's 20 nieces/nephews/daughters to put "Applied Medical is a great place to work" or "great benefits" in an attempt to bump the negative posts up like they won't be seen. I know people that still work at Applied and they are just buying their time until retirement and don't care what other people think. It sounds like you're one of those people DG. How old are you now? 50 something? Get a clue and come talk to me once you actually can prove any of the HUNDREDS of points posted on CP wrong because you and I both know Applied's sales team has turned over numerous times in the past 8-10 years.

Nope, it's not DG. It's another manager who is calling you out and I'm "refuting those claims". The team has not turned over numerous times, in fact, there's a lot of people who've been here 6+ years.

Look, just because you didn't like it doesn't mean others don't or other people are idiots for enjoying what they do. If you're so butt hurt about something, then go make it right for yourself instead of voicing a pointless opinion to the wind on an anonymous message board where you look like a crybaby rather than someone who deserves respect.

Funny how this company is not recognized for ethics, diversity or innovation. In the new healthcare delivery models focused on value, all these factors have reimbursement incentives for payers and providers. In a non fee for service model, complications do not equal more money. Applied is on the way out if they don't change their shit. But lipstick on shit is still shit.

It's a miracle how this company is even still in business anymore. They claim to be ethical yet have screwed dozens (that I know of) of people out of commissions or pay they were entitled to and not to mention all the employees that feel trapped here. To any potential candidates looking at Applied Medical, I would advise you to seriously reconsider. If you are coming from the medical device world, this place is a serious black mark on your resume.

The problem here is the West Zone Director "MIS Division". My experience at Applied wasnt in this division and wasnt perfect by any means. Every company has issues, and Applied has their share, especially on the sales teams. I did have a lot of positive experience at Applied though. But when there is a cancerous rep, manager, or director is any organization, it can ruin a good thing. The Clincal Education division and ALS are other divisions (although much smaller in size than MIS division)

But I have to say the MIS West Zone Director is truly one of the most negative individuals I've seen over my 15 years in the industry (worked for a few companies, large and small). Couldnt imagine working for him.

Most people whom post on this site seem to be just here to bash because they got screwed over or something. I've never posted here but given what has happened to some current reps I know there, I had to share this in hopes that Applied sees the true reason for the extremely high turnover of the western region MIS division.

At some point his lies will catch up to him. He's promised reps things that never materialize in order to get what he personally wants. Nothing MV does is for the good of those working for him, and if Applied loses a contract he blames his reps (even if he's the one negotiating contact terms with a hospital). I personally watched him try and wiggle his way through a clinical conversation with a surgeon to which he was completely out of his league at a conference a while back.

To describe MV: he is AWKWARD to hold conversation with, is always unhappy/miserable, he lies about compensation potential to new hires, lies to reps about potential for promotion, and he has a terrible relationship with head of ALS division, Clinical Education Division, and those whom work at the home office. In fact, I'm shocked he still has a job.

I love the head of Clinical Education at Applied though! She (KW) is a bright spot at the company. But he doesn't seem to value CE, or her. I've heard MV speak negatively about so many people within the organization itself its shocking. But again, Clinical Ed is a fantastic division and the head of this is very smart and she has done fantastic things in terms of training, etc. That's just my take from someone who had first hand knowledge of it when I worked here.

Just a little insight from a former insider..I hope all the good people at Applied get treated right or find some place that will. I dont regret my time at Applied as it made me realize what I wanted in the place im in now. And wow is it refreshing to work for a company that actually values their people.

all of the zone directors are a cancer to humanity and this company: MV, JD, DG, D-Mac: it's prevalent on both the East AND West coasts. If Mr Hilal had a set of balls, he would fire all these losers and start from scratch!

Said and TS would have to get out of their ivory tower to understand the damage that these clowns are causing. They seem to believe that people leaving boils down to them not being the right fit for Applied when in fact it's the deceit, lies and blatant disregard for the truth that is causing people to leave. Granted they aren't mind blowing products but they work and could be marketed far better if we weren't starting from ground zero every 12-18 months in a territory.

Can someone tell me why there are so many open territories at this company right now? I heard that the company might be going public and they're trying to keep margins thin so the Street sees cash and increases their valuation? I asked my DM if he was ever going to hire anyone to backfill any of these open territories and he gave me some lame answer of "not anytime soon". If Applied Medical doesn't believe in even having sales reps to grow the business, and our dumb CEO thinks he can do better without us, why don't we just go the route of selling through medical catalogs? This company doesn't provide any value, the majority of these reps are all 20 something dipshits with virtually no clinical experience, and nothing new has been designed or released in years. (Let me rephrase that: nothing has been released that hasn't broken or been recalled within a few months). So why not just sell it through distributors?

You're right. Why does Applied need you? You're much better off somewhere else where the CEO values what you do. Good luck.

First, we aren't going public. Said won't ever sell. Maybe his kids but not him.
As for not backfilling, we aren't because we're losing money. Headcount costs money and when you don't have products to sell, you lose that revenue. We look profitable on the books if we keep those positions open. You can't be so busy that you can't help cover some of these openings.
