So I was trying to remember. When was it that Amgen actually "jumped the shark". We were on the cover of Businessweek in 2005 as the most respected company - to what we are now. When was the "jump"?
Paying the three quarters of a billion dollar fine in 2012 for overpromotion of Aranesp! At least that led to KS leaving the company.
Yeah, that's what I thought. No one from S&M would have any answer to the allegation that it was their doing. LOL. It makes sense to blame GM.
Wow. Great question. I gotta say when KS left. Since then there has been a giant sucking sound of "Old Amgen" talent leaving. Amgen is what it is. A sad shell of itself with only average talent. Big Pharma with an old moth filled bio tech coat wrapped around it. I hate to say it but Amgen's name is far less credible than it used to be.
contract reps = say to the public we gave up, anyone can do this job also new leadership after KS could give a shit about people and we feel it everyday
KS had some concern and care for Amgen employees but the true downturn was the loss of Gordon Binder. The company lost a true leader who care about all employees regardless of role or title.
