    My providers gave up on this great product. I had some providers using 2 or 3 a month and now they are at 0. What will happen to this good product?

    Only serious replies...please.

    Think the coupons helped drive growth. I know competition has some better drugs.

    Diabetes is super competitive, don't think this is one of the leaders if there isn't any coupons.

    Tanzeum is doing very well because the pen is reasonable vs. the stupid Bydureon pen.
    All have the same efficacy. All have same GI, actually Tanzeum has the "best" GI profile. Also, Tanzeum costs less. Tanzeum is the only GLP 1, I would take, if I had too.

    It is not doing well in my territory. Doctors don't prefer it.

    No matter how well a product performs (Tanzeum performs well), you, nor anyone else, will be able to mentally engage a physician and motivate them to write if they know there is no Med D coverage, have only 25% commercial patients with coverage and the chance of the card going through is 50/50 at best. Don' t forget to tell doc CVS will not process card.

    If managed care improves, product can do well.

    just do the best you can. if the manager is a nut job, look for another job. the product is very good, and if you don't think that, you don't understand the product and the disease state.

    My CDE rocks and really helps with getting the Rx written. She's been working with the docs a lot and they really like her. If you have one in your area, try that.

    CDE don't move the business, except for a few here and there. It's the rep that moves product. That will never change.

    Tanzeum=Turd.

    My boss many years ago, said it's hard to "polish" a TURD!

    you and your boss are stupid. it doesn't matter if it is a "turd" (Tanzeum is not a turd, but if you think it is, you are really dumb). what matters is how you are performing vs. your peers.
    The biggest problem with this product was the training was not very good, and the incentives were not properly put in place for people to get the business. too many people just went through the motions with this good product because the GLP 1 is a difficult concept to sell. So, when adversity came, most reps just folded their cards and went home, barely working. other territories did well because they had the knowledge and confidence on how to sell this product. just the fact that you think its a "turd" show how misinformed you are, and how bad you are at selling. quite honestly, the only ones that are complaining about this drug are those that are not good at selling. now, those with terrible managed care coverage, that is a different story, they deserve a pass, a little.

    Tanzeum is not a turd in a general sense. However, compared to the other GLP1 options, it's a big ol' skinky, corn laden cobra! Once the "free" copay cards went away, I knew it was a matter of time before it was time to flush this gem. I suspect 90% of the rxs written were to patients who were cash strapped and could barely afford a $30 copay for Victoza or Trulicity. All things being equal, why the hell would a physician write Tanzeum over any of the other options other than maybe Byetta?
