Can someone tell me what the Philidor / Valeant relationship is?

    Probably gross to net adjustments/accruals?

42% of Q3 gross revenue was eliminated by gross to net adjustments. This compares to 19% in 2012. It sure looks like a lot of $1000 tubes of acne cream were pushed through Philidor for much less than $1000.

Even at $200 per tube of acne cream, sales would be wildly profitable considering generic equivalents can be had for less than $20 and manufacturing costs aren't much different between brand and generic. Philidor's less than savory business practices resulted in a money printing machine. Alas, there always comes the time where the piper needs to be paid.

Jublia is one which never ceases to amaze. It is more effective than doing nothing, but less than half as effective as Vicks Vap-O-Rub in treating nail fungus. Valeant tries to sell this next to worthless medication for $1000 to insurers, but will gladly accept $75 from cash payers.

"But R&O is owned by Isolani right? This whole thing is very weird. More will be found that is for sure but the bigger issue will be the insurers blackballing any of these guys."

I think you mean back bill and from an article today the insurance companies do plan to ask for money back or ask for the difference of the generic drug vs. Valiant due to fraudulent altering of prescriptions, according to an Alpha article.

As for R and O, from what I'm reading they are not owned by Isolani. Isolani is a company that it is suspected was created by Philandor when they were denied by the state of California. From what I read the deal never even went down because the pharmacist was smart! R and O, a total victim for sure.
