You are the true embodiment of a leader without any of the traits of typical U.S. Pfizer sales managers. No chest pounding, fear mongering, militaristic brow beating or intimidation. You led us with a most humble, kind, compassionate and intelligent strategy that created off the charts sales results in the vaccines division. It's too bad that the Pfizer ELT had no idea how to project a sales forecast for this year that was attainable. I don't blame you for getting out but I will miss you terribly.
Best of luck in your future endeavors and if you decide to keep working, any company would be lucky to have you.

Pfizer talks out of both sides of its mouth. It aligns itself with the right wing liberal agenda and supports all of its policies, yet it plays hard line to the ridiculus, self-serving delusion of free enterprise healthcare market extortion. Lets raise the price or forecast again, because we can, and blame our greediness or inability to make that made up number on someone else. Fire the F-ing commercial team or finance for simply picking a number that meets your goals Pfizer and not market reality! Move over Mylan, Pfizer will be next with their split personality, delusions of grandeur.

    The Emperor has no clothes!

Buying other companies, attempts at tax inversions, and price increases is our #1, 2, and 3 strategy.

    For example---
If we didn't buy Upjohn/Pharmacia, we'd have had no COX-2 Franchise (now down to Celebrex) to milk for 16 years, no Zyvox, no Lyrica, and absolutely nothing in Oncology.

If we didn't buy Warner Lambert, our cash cow Lipitor could've gone to someone else. (And one day, we're going to read about the real shenanigans we pulled to get Lipitor on all major treatment algorithms). If we didn't buy Wyeth, we'd have no vaccines or any of the BS anti depressants. See the pattern?

Buying companies and increasing the price of old meds 600% over 15 years is the only way that we've been able to stay afloat.

But watch out---that Mylan empty suit CEO with a fake MBA from a 5th rate school has ruined it for all of us. Watch and see, Fortune or Bloomberg or WSJ is going to research price increases on old drugs, and wait'll the public sees what we've been up to since 1998, price increase wise.

Exhibit A: The rate increase of Prevnar since launch in 2000. The price then about 40 dollars a dose.

What does any of this have to do with the thread? I agree Jeff was an outstanding manager and he's leaving because he hates the b.s. that has been thrown at him. He is an honorable man.

Jeff has class and treats us all with respect. I think he is just done and wants to live his life. We can only hope we get somebody in that position thats has half his empathy, treats us like adults, trusts that know what we are doing (without out the call average, etc crap) - and let's us run!

Yes, I agree. We won't be the same without him. He treated us with respect and let us do our jobs. Please don't put anyone in his place that isn't from vaccines.

maybe Jeff's position is another job they're not going to backfill, just like they're collapsing some territories...

Why post this? Jeff has been transparent about the plan when we expand and when they collapse territories to get back to a sustainable level. We should be happy the way they tell us what is going on and not hide plans until cuts come. I joined from Pysch and am still amazed how different it can be in the same company.

    Jeff,

Have one hell of a time this week. Tell marketing, The White Flag Frenchie and Phrank Phalmer what you really think about them...

Thank you for your leadership during the early years. The newbies have no clue about the work we accomplished to get p13 50+ off the ground. The path we paved ( through your leadership ) is too often overlooked. Short memories abound.... The sales force in December 2011 made chicken salad out of the chicken-shit marketing messaging that we were provided. We were literally in the field with a PI as our sales tool for months!! Then, when marketing provided messaging, it was flat out FLAWED! And then, the pfizer assholes had the audacity to proclaim we were not hitting budget. Douchebags personified.

God Bless you Jeff for putting up with that Bullshit during the early years. I recall Ian Read stating after the ACIP denied recommendation during the early years "Even though the ACIP has not provided guidance, our Financial Expectations have not changed." Ian, pull your head out of your A$$!! Jeff, the shit you put up with guarantees you a place in Heaven!! We won't even go into having to "interview" with Angela...what a crock of $hit that was...

God Bless You Jeff. You have Earned this rich reward. Always know that the field force appreciated you and your leadership. We wish you all the best during your retirement.

Jeff was the most honorable man that ever worked for Wyeth/PFE. Although sad to see him go, I am happy he is no longer in the toxic environment of PFE Vaccines. He deserves a much better life working among respectable leadership. All those that were just coasting on the coattails of Jeff, I hope you all lose your jobs as you did nothing but sweet talk to him and just used him as stepping stone, Pfrank, RS, Ashley to name a few.... What happened to the days when leadership really cared about you? Wyeth lost to PFE.

To name a few please add Capp! They all counted and took Jeff for granted. He was my mentor, etc....I hope whoever takes his place, cleans house!!!

And let the cleaning begin with PhrankPhenetration Phalmer. He is too stupid to understand the limitations of penetration. yet, he places ridiculous weight on it. what a dumbass.

Will never know what Jeff saw in FPrank. He has the personality of a dead tree and has no idea how to motivate a sales team and be a leader. This was not a good decision, Jeff. Wish you were still here as you were the only one that truly cared about your sales team. All other RBDs are useless, no personality or just talk the corporate talk. Not sure what the future holds for Vaccines leadership but will probably end up hiring someone that has served their time globally and feels that PFE owes them.
