I think we're safe for a while. Friends at HQ, are you hearing anything?

Yes. PC should be good until at least mid-2017.

Must agree with post #3. Primary care structure will surely change as group 3 will only have Dulera and Asmanex plus Belsomra. Good products but poor market acceptance plus Generic Advair is expected the first quarter with Mylan and Teva products. Vaccine division may be folded in somehow to PC work force as there is significant overlap in call decks. This only makes sense as MVD is more or less order takers at this point and consolidation of the two groups could result in significant savings with little effect on sales. Just an opinion supported by high level headquarter gossip.

I personally hope all brown nosers lose their jobs at Merck.

The rumors about PC going to contract sales have quieted. I think we're safe for now. Anyone at HQ?

I'm not too worried anymore. I've saved up enough for a personal car and gotten my financial house in order. Been thinking changes are on the horizon for a while now. I'm Team 3 and can't help but wonder what's going on and prepare for my family's financial future. The uncertainty and lack of strategic communication still creates a high amount of stress. Sales seems to be treated with disdain around this place the last few years. Started sending out resumes for new jobs about two weeks ago. I know we have a national update coming 10/25, and anything announced by Nov 1 would satisfy a 60 day warn for the end of the fiscal year. Had one phone interview so far, and if that moves forward the timing would work out so that I'll know if we still have jobs or not by the time I would have to sign an offer letter. If we get through the first week of November with no PCP cuts, I'll settle in for another semester here and stop the job search until the next wave of rumblings or something amazing presents itself.

Not so fast fuck-nuts! Changes/reorg/cuts coming next year before the end of the 1st semester. Only group it won't touch is Oncology. Yes, even the fuckasses for diabetes will have a restructure/cut. Rebadging a very popular item right now. If you think your job is safe, you're a fucking moron-a prerequisite to working here.

Think I'm joking? Do some research. It doesn't even matter if youre a high performer or not-if you're making 6 figures and over 50, you are done. Period. Get ready. Right after the trial-lawyer CEO cashes out on his annual stock options. Fuck asses.

CTL checking in as I do every once in a while. There is truth to this. Heard grumblings about it 3-4 weeks ago. My impression was that there would be targeted lay offs. Not as big as previous years, but certainly a RIF. And there would be a significant increase in the size of territories. Possibilities of contract work for some territories but I don't know for sure. I did hear about possible rebadging though. Never thought it would actually happen but it might be more seriously in the works.

Larger territories you say! Whadabout the ole job shares, what will they do? They need to be a stones throw away from the homestead tending to kiddo n skool stuff. Commute? Overnights? Can you imagine, they already throw a shat fit if they have to attend a one night district meeting an hour away from home! Ever notice that over the years shares always are given the gigs in their own backyard whilst teammates are given BFE assignments? Flippen dbag shares, bet their kids still end up living at home at age 25. "Mommy, how come you are always home"? Then the shares who brag about how many years they have been at Smerck, pluueeze, no fuzzy math cut your years of service in half you dimwits. Fu-q.

The entire group is going to be eliminated by early 17. The group now serves no company objectives and has zero worth. Contract personnel positively forward. I do feel sorry for the US delis no more additional money to the bottom line

I highly doubt it. The model is not the best but all the pharma companies have for now.

You can doubt it all you want. Im just telling you what i've learned and heard in my meetings. As I said earlier, I'd look for the resort some time around mid '17. I think early '17 is too quick, unless anyone knows something else.

I was just a little surprised by the possible RIF with the diabetes team. I was lead to believe they(us)would be in a safe place. Maybe not so much?

I am in UG and have access to the planned demise of this unproductive unit. You are all gone by the end of March! Investors need to be given their due through increased returns while throwing your useless delislinging asses out the door.
