Tell us one thing Mr. Bystander, where are we imploding? We have gained and not lost anywhere except Colorado Springs and Stryker can have Matt Douchebag or what ever his last name is.

ZB will still control Ortho Colorado. Other vendors will pick up some share but not the lions share. The only reason the Springs has lost business is because Douchebag ran off the good people with his divisive style. ZB is in a good position to keep growing.

Your myopia would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. ZB has a weak wall around joints but the BEST bag is a joke and you flank is very exposed. You aren't even invited to the meetings that are determining you fate. Let's hope that you have a good savings account and your wife works.

It'll be split among 4 vendors. ZB won't run the show like before. Still a very good growth account if you're on the outside now but won't be the windfall the competition is thinking. Totally agree with the Matt Douchebag comments. Guy is a total moron!

OC may indeed be split this time among multiple vendors. But the OC, as well as every major account in the West, would prefer to work with only one vendor. You have no idea what bundling opportunities they've already proposed in an all-or-nothing deal. And if your bag doesn't include 90% of what they need, you won't even be invited to participate in the next buying cycle.

How would OC expect to get the best deal with the business split four ways?
It will be most agreeable among the docs to just stick with ZB for the majority of the cases. At most I see a 60/40 split with the two vendors giving the same pricing and rebate schedule. Zimmer for the lion's share and whoever comes second for the privilege of getting in the door.
The longer this goes on, the less likely it is that Zimmer will lose out.

Yes, where is ZB? Not really seeing ZB big shots at OC much less having meetings. ZB is going to loose OC. And to quote which ever ZB rep said the 60/40, it won't be ZB in that equation. It is between DePuy and Stryker. ZB is going to be screwed again by SE. Somewhere in the ZB sales management is a bad egg and that person doesn't have a clue how to close a deal or negotiate. Find the stink, toss the rot, and just might come out a head. Too bad all the ZB management are on vacation, out hunting, playing golf or being a stay at home dad and left all the motivated inexperienced reps to fight the battle you get payed the big dollars to fight. How typical and boring, ZB!

Hello??? Any ZB sales managers out there, they are definitely not at OC? I am looking for all you peacocks every day. Wrong time to be on vacation, hunting, playing golf, or being a stay at home dad while pretending to work. While leaving the inexperienced reps to negotiate a deal. No wonder OC is deciding between DePuy and Stryker, they want a product that is back by a team that feels negotiating a deal is far more important than personal trips. And once again, ZB is being beat by SE again. What an embarrassment! And who knows, but it looks like it might be the end for ZB at all Centura accounts. Poor original Zimmer reps, everything you worked so hard for all these years, is going away because of little man boys.

Just another note from your friend, Mr. Bystander!

Let's be honest Stryker and Depuy are so much stronger at management level then we are. Dr's are already moving to other products, we are gone.

Since when has management made any real difference other than giving away the reps' revenue back to the hospitals? OC has had it's trial period. Anybody see any DePuy joints go in during the trial? Didn't think so...

so what's the status on OC?
Wasnt it all supposed to be hammered out by Nov. 1st?

sounds like Stryker and ZB are in. Stryker weaseled in through some shady personal relationship with a key surgeon and existing business with new partners.

How is that shady? Did you even read what you wrote? Your feelings are just hurt because you couldn't get the business with those Doc's. But I am guessing, you never really tried either. Are you full of regret because maybe that was the day you should have worked?

interesting, no agreements have been awarded as of today. The reps on here need to quit pretending they know how we will award the RFP.

Zimmer/Biomet runs Colorado and owns OC! Other companies are getting scraps.
