I felt like I was close to getting an offer and all of the sudden.... it's stalled.

It's not a hiring freeze. It's management constipation.

This messed up company will hire 6, 7, and 8 figure directors and vice presidents all day long with unreal bonuses and golden parachutes for brain dead useless fuck sticks that contribute nothing to the bottom line but have a hiring freeze on $60k middle management positions that actually do something that results in real tangible cash money coming in that pays the bills. Fucking morons.

There is no freeze on any positions. Offers are actually going out pretty quick. It could just be a delay with the hiring manager, or maybe they are giving it to someone else.

BS. It depends on the job. Some are getting filled. But many backfill positions have been on hold for 6+ months.

Just follow-up with talent acquisition. They're known to string candidates along for several months hoping better talent will apply. Heard after 12 interviews guy was told he got job & offer letter was on way. Then they decided they wanted someone with more experience. Don't give up your search, quit your job, or rely on anything said till contract is signed and you start getting paid. Good luck.

Back in the day when MP was roaming the halls, nobody got hired until he okays it. So, when things were hopping along, and he was extremely busy wheeling and dealing, it took as long as 6 months for the hire to actually take place. For me, after I was verbally told that I got the gig, it still took two months. Luckily, I asked the HR rep for an offer letter with the pertinent info before giving my standard two weeks notice to my previous gig. After a few years there and much management turnover, and I had enough with the dumbass bosses, I left that hellhole. While I didn't max out, I was able to cash out of options above $235/share as it started dropping. I was their good luck charm, and after I left, the house of cards came tumbling down.

Maybe that varies based on your division - but on the Salix side they are being filled as quickly as they can.

Good. It was disgraceful the way Pearson ripped you apart. Not a surprise though.
