Shire + Baxalta contract manufacturing

Rumors are circulating of baxalta plants (LA, TO, Vienna, Reiti etc)going to contract manufacturing. Any truth to this?

 

would not surprise me. Manufacturing in Lexington and Cambridge is not industrialized properly. Product barely makes it out the door.

 

I've heard that shire's newly acquired baxalta Georgia plant is in talks to be sold.

 

That would mean the death of the immunology division

 

I don't see that happening.

 

Last I heard, it was in the process, but would be delayed for a year or so as Shire likes the pay range Baxalta has in place for its current full time employees (underpaid by industry standards).

No surprises if they drop the bomb on all the manufacturing personnel and let them know that it is another "business decision" soon though
