New Oncology Math is pod of 6 = 1 seamless team. Doctors love being seen by more than 1 rep all the time, each delivering 2 product presentations. 4 details per call. We are customer centric!

I can tell you other oncology reps working for the true specialty oncology companies are not happy with BMS taking the primary care approach into this market. It's plain stupid.

Had a customer today say only 1 appointment per month and only 1 rep. How am I going to coordinate that with my counterparts? Reach can't be met. Too many people...

You are LUCKY! One per month? If I get one per QUARTER I feel like I hit the jackpot. But what makes it worse is it is almost always just one appointment for the company per quarter, so you can imagine what a cluster that becomes with 6 reps who all want that one slot per quarter.

You're not on an island. Merck playing monkey see, monkey do

Yes big Pharma hiring primary care reps and having pods deliver metrics will ruin oncology sales.

A shame these companies all believe more sales and less research is what they need when in reality it is exactly the opposite. Too many overpaid execs trying to protect their empires.

People are trying to be 'team players' but I can see the antics already starting, info being held back, CYA ... I wish I stayed where I was. I was excited, looked forward to moving into oncology but, I am in a group with more reps then I had before joining. Stinks :(

Its a disgrace. My 25 years in oncology and I was doing the job 6 of us are doing. Now I am being sectioned off and limited because the morons in home office think we can only sell 1 product at a time. My offices where I used to go in at least 18 times a year are now down to 4 appointments. This is an industry issue.

Fuck share of voice. It's all about our diminishing return. I bet layoffs are coming because Lynelle thought share of voice was a good idea. Idiot. Our futures are at risk but they don't give a damn us, they want to look good to higher management.

    This is so true.

This is insane. Leaders that know oncology have resisted the pressure to expand like BMS.

It feels like we're witnessing the destruction of our business aka stupid management tactics from inept leaders.

A friend shared today she got a call from an office and couldn't follow up and go in because the call didn't fit into the agreed upon rotation, she didn't want to go against the trusted plan. She sent her peer to the practice instead in order to be a team player. BMS will give her a pat on the back for teamwork. The customer on the other hand called and yelled at her because they didn't want to see her partner, they wanted to see her.
We are no longer customer focused. Eventually this will hurt us and the relationship we have built or are building.

You're friend is an idiot and should not be in sales. If you get the call you go. You develop the relationship so you are the one they go to. Make all the other oncology reps go through you to see the docs.. Oh well she blew it

The rep should have gone in but, I understand his/her rationale. Certain mgrs & RBDs are pushing this philosophy (talking out of both sides of their faces) and reps are penalized for not aligning with the 6=1 philosophy. If you answer a question not in your wheelhouse then you are wrong to do so and short changed a counter part. Forget the customer that wanted timely info and the relationship building that occurs when the doc can rely on you, create an opportunity for a counterpart to get the DBM pat in the back and get points for year end performance evaluation

This is stupid,, no oncologist wants to be seen by multiple people talking the same crap,, but if you in SFL, that crew is rather caustic and back stabbing towards there own team, , wow that DSM IS AN AMAZING EYE FOR TALENT ,,,, 6 reps in a car great return lol lol lol

Thanks for your input Pat. But I've seen you in action and you suck. You are an overconfident arrogant individual that could never move up in your 25 years and you are just bitter about it.

6 reps. Thank you, BMS for being leaders in getting ALL onc reps restricted access to offices.

Physical access increasingly restricted and now so is electronic access -- thank you trigger letter metrics!
