No way the SEC will allow more consolidation in this space. The HAEA already hates Shire for how it killed Kalbitor's patient support and allowed it to be cannibalized by Firazyr. Shire could give 2 shits about its patients and providers. Its a foreign owned company with foreign leadership that sees America as a fat hog waiting to be vampired. Who else builds an 50 Billion dollar empire selling amphetamines to American kids then celebrates itsself? I hear that the HAE space is about to be a blood bath.

Really hope you don't work for Shire... this may be the worst post I've ever read on here and I've read some bad stuff

The amphetamine comment is spot on. It's disgusting that we celebrate the fact we are selling off label and growing this abuse riddled market.

Kathy K does. She was in the field popping off to Drs while doing a ride along so the Rep, RD and ZD turned her in to compliance. She had to come to corporate for a whole day of retraining. She thought she was above it all, but boy was she humiliated! It was like putting her ass in detention.

....exactly, they turned her ass in! She's an idiot, but that doesn't mean the NBU is selling off label. It's just not true. There's no need to sell off label.

You are correct. In fact most of the sales team are very ethical & responsible. The same can't be said of Kathy. It's as if she doesn't get that selling the way she wants can get you in serious shit. She used to badger her Director team about how often and who they are taking to dinner. She would expect that after the dinner you push the physician for more business. Hey dumbass you ever hear of quid pro quo? It's illegal and this job is not worth it and I am certainly not jeopardizing my career for some half-wit.

I know for a FACT that several years ago, when we had a real CEO, that the ONLY reason we bought TKT was for the karma factor. By that I mean, enter rare disease to offset the fact we sell amphetemines to children. FACT

HAE is now under immunology. Immunology is in no way perfect, but it's a good spot for the HAE team. True biotec... at least it was at Baxalta

This posting is from someone not familiar with the orphan drug world but on the periphery of something I can describe as nothing but egregious. Outsider looking in on an HAE claim that is tracking to be over $25m in one year. Can anyone explain how this can happen? Does it have to involve fraud or is it possible for someone to rack up that kind of expense for treatment of HAE? Are there off label uses for the drug that can induce fraud? And if so how would someone prosper from it? Again, compete outsider to this industry and just trying to understand something that doesn't seem to make sense to me.
