Are you serious? $300k with the new model that nobody has clearly even figured out? Some of the veterans who have great relationships and bang up territories don't even make close to $300. Go back to medical device school rookie.

I'm not a rookie by any means. I just heard that there is money to be had here. Of course, I also hear that females don't last long in this division due to harassment and discrimination. What can I expect as I seasoned saleswoman in this industry? You don't have to be a jerk. I'm just trying to see if this is a good fit. Is Stryker really closing the lights on Zimmer Surgical? Should I go work for them instead?

    1. I don't get it. I have friends that work for Stryker in $2 mill territories that make $200k. How is it possible that Zimmer reps make considerably less given their products don't stack up. It sounds like Stryker Instrument reps make more feeding off the land with better products. Reps at Stryker are living off a non-capital world but make more?? Why would anyone work for Zimmer if the best don't even make $300k??!! The best at Stryker make over $500k. Sounds like a hustle to me....

I think it is due to the pay structure. Stryker is 100% commission while Zimmer Surgical is a salary/commission mix. I think that Zimmer Surgical also pays their joint reps a percentage of sales while Stryker does not. Maybe that's why their not paid as much? If I were a Zimmer rep I'd demand to be paid more based on Stryker's market share, ability to corner the market, and better product portfolio. Why get paid less to sell a crappy version of Stryker's product? Zimmer will eventually find out that if they don't take care of their reps then they will most certainly leave. Then again Zimmer Surgical flies by the seat of their pants trying to catch up to the big boy in town. It's like Tab Cola trying to convince customers they taste as great as Coca-Cola. You better be paying your reps enough to put up with the hassle of making that argument. Otherwise, they leave OKC to join Golden State to get that ring.

I know of 3 senior reps I work with at Zimmer Biomet and they are making 250+, 325+ and 350+.

There's no way they are in the Surgical Division. If so, put their money where your mouth is: Which territories???

No matter what GR keeps putting in your pipe, there's no way guys are making over $225k at ZB Surgical. The surgical products are second class and all new resources are going into Project Sunrise. At ZB, CYA is more important than kicking a$$.

Southeast Region. Every distributor is different and $ varies greatly.

Zimmer Biomet surgical? Who are they? Sure, lots of success with joints but we never see their sports or surgical guys. Someone said they want to be #3 in both areas but they aren't even in the running. Those Warsaw guys get confused easily.

    What is project sunrise?

Project sunrise is the crew that is tasked with cleaning up ZB's quality and regulatory mess. That dude that rolls the rock up the hill only to have it roll back down every night, Sisyphus. That's them.

Is that why Dover surgical has a portable trailer of consultants.

Products on ship hold. Quality nightmares. 483s that are just shy of an injunction. Musical chairs among execs. Consultants contradicting themselves on strategy. Nearly zero communication up or down the chain of command. Teams held together by broken promises and duct tape. A rudderless ship. 2016 will go down as one of the worst years ever at Big Z. Can't wait for the NSM. Go Team!

Notice how the permanent job postings for Sunrise disappeared before the EOY? Trailers continue to show up in Dover and they aren't leaving anytime soon. But this remains a "temporary" issue. LMFAO

Are there plans to shut down Dover surgical. Costa Rica (Vention) is already producing 50% of our pulse plus business. By summer they will be doing 100%.
