A 2 hour meeting to introduce a New CEO seems a bit long. Maybe an overall business update plus leader introduction.

I have inside information, layoffs coming & restructure...to the respiratory team. Come on- they put the asthma team in a position called team "floater" not BREO or ANORO team..doesn't look good. It's set up already for cuts! There are more jobs out there with WAY better pay!!

Oh great, the "shill" guy is back. There will be no layoff announcements this year. So to all field personnel, relax! Now, next year may be a different story. However, even though a new CEO will be in place, GSK stock is near 52 week highs and profitability is up. There are two new products plus a vaccine coming next year. So any fool who is[predicting layoffs this year is just that, a fool! Enjoy the fall, the holidays and the end of year shutdown! All is good in 2016! Gonna make love to my wife tonight..she's got me saying my my my...Zigler out!

I've read the comments about consumer training material arriving yesterday and today in the mail. Maybe instead of laying off Resp Reps when Advair generic arrives 2017 that a few will be transferred into Consumer to help out there. Emma would know the staffing needs in Consumer. The black cat on the gray cushion looks upset....

No layoffs this year or next year. With Advair going generic we need a sales force to pull through our current portfolio and be ready to launch the closed triple therapy. Vaccines has a new shingles product. Emerging markets have been a colossal failure and have not generated any profit to date. The U.S. is the driving profit center and is projected to be until 2022. There will be no layoffs to the U.S. sales force. What will happen, and it will happen in Q2 of 2017, is a re-org of the sales force in pharma and vaccines. They will shuffle individuals around a bit. There may be a bit of fall-out involving the TSMs. They will be looking for a span of control between 10-12 per district. This has been the feedback given to GSK by BC Group. We will cut the Advair Inventive sales force immediately upon Advair being declared generic. All the information I have given is accurate and has been validated. There are no other details to give at this point. We are in a holding pattern until April 0f 2017. Emma will begin what I have laid out. She will have a lot to take in, but is basically continuing down the path that AW has created.

When Zig says his "wife", he is referring to his right hand.

Have no clue who you are or where you got info but thanks for the heads up. Hope you are valid but one never knows since this is cafepharma but will give you benefit of doubt. Any info about getting rid of this archaic forced ranking system? Even those who rank high realize this is demotivating and totally a farce bAsed on who can kiss up to management. Not good system for true sales people or perhaps GSK sees no value in those who are true sales people and not corporate kiss ups--management changes for reps and even if favored by one manager you can get new manager who has others who are politically in favor. Pitiful methodology. . Any comments on future of forced rankings would be appreciated since many of us are interviewing and considering other options

GSK needs contract reps to do your jobs. Breo rep entering calls to providers who are closed the day after holidays or to closed offices on Fridays. ..shows they don't work..don't even know when the hell offices are opened or closed , just enter a f2f call...this is why gsk needs inventiv, to carry your lazy asses...

Any ideas on what the topics for discussion will be at the All Hands Meeting tomorrow? I got a package in the mail over the weekend indicating that I have to attend a sales meeting on OTC products later this year. Is this for real? I'm in respiratory sales. Nobody has told me that I'm in consumer products. Anyone else get similar materials?

My package included training materials on how best to clean floors and restrooms at the home office. What does that mean?
