Are any Alcon sites Union? I just found out at our company picnic yesterday that office people can go outside and smoke as much as they want. How is that fair? If I want to smoke it means I need to take vacation time. I think perhaps a Union to fight for our rights is what we need.
You want all production to move to Singapore? Because bringing in a union would be the best way to do that...
It's actually the fabricators union that many pharma manufacturing employees , like Merck, are members of. Bear in mind that these are skilled employees with many hours of outside training in their job function. That is not alcon manufacturing. You have no idea of anything outside of the alcon echo chamber, let alone industry best practices. A union won't make you any better at your job or make alcon a better pharma manufacturing facility. That ship sailed years ago. I can't paint a better picture than to jump ship on the latest pharma startup to hit Texas. Then again maybe a few more chairs on the production floor or sending Dan Burianek to Saudi Arabia might fix things more quickly.
