$650 is way too much anyway for a retired person. There are much cheaper medical plans out there.

The cost is $350 so all of the trash talk is just silly and uninformed. Taxes should be paid on these benefits because it is a form of income.

Hillary will tax medical benefits. Place your vote. She can be trusted with your money. BTW
Did Hillary when in Congress offer a bill to address Medicare not being allowed to negotiate drug prices? NOT---- yet now she is talking about high drug prices. Brilliant stunt.

Why aren't newer employees eligible for this? That's BS.

Because you are stupid and didn't make the sacrafices to build the brands fuck head like we all had to do. The only reason NVS purchased this company was because of long term employees building Alcon to what it once was a great company.

We should get the same benefits as everyone else. You old farts like to get your grubby hands on everything and not share what the rest of us are also entitled to.

Typical thinking of today's youth. You do not understand the difference between entitled and earned.

Income is income. You should be taxed. And leaving out us new hires isn't going to fly. Something has to be done.

Nothing can or should be done for you, crybaby. It was an irrevocable trust. It's sole purpose was to supplement the cost of a class of employees. Either your were part of this class or not, and you were not.

The money used to set up the trust could have gone to increase immeadiate compoensation. Instead, back in the mid 1990's a wise management team foresaw the rising costs trends of healthcare and made accommodations to lesson that future burden. If you want that benefit, current Novartis management will need to develop their own plan for you, not likely. The something that needs to be done is for you to take the benefit currently offered or leave.
