SO, am I crazy, or what other SPECIALTY team on this planet has 8 calls a day? That is not a reality when we have a big geography and ONLY see Psychs! It makes many of us mad that home office doesn't understand the sales force and what we do on a day to day basis! If we don't have a clinic with multiple Dr's in each of our planned days - it is VERY , EXTREMELY hard to make 8 calls a day. SO, to make home office happy, we are to Fake calls?? Somebody tell corporate this is unrealistic - where are our managers to confirm that this is not a smart tactic - it will make us fake calls and spend less time when we could have spent more with a Dr giving us time - so that we can fulfill that 8 a day! Im getting sick of our manager stuffing this down our throats! WE ARE SPECIALTY! NO SPECIALTY team has this number!! If you want us to make 8 - then add in PC's!!

8 calls is very fair. Many other companies are 10-12. If they told you 4 or 6 than you would only make 2 or 3. Stop crying and is your damn job!

If you were a true salesman you would shut the F up and make 15 calls a day and wouldn't give a crap about what the company asks for because you would go above and beyond what is "required".

I think the better question to ask is what is the overall strategy here? We are not promoting in a vacuum. I overlap with 2 Lundbeck, 6 Takeda, 8 or 9 Otsuka. If you want me to see 40 per week, do you think it is smart for the same doctor to be seen 3 or 4 times in 1 week. This is why offices are closing the door. GJ talks about call continuum. Continue from what? my last call or one of my 8 partners call? Indisputable fact is that Otsuka could sell Rexulti without Lundbeck and Lundbeck doesn't need gamma.

It's obvious that you have never, ever worked on a specialty sales team before, because the average number of calls per day, for any specialty team is between 4 and 5! Many of us drive over 200 miles PER DAY! There is no way in hell you can average 8 calls per day driving that much, even in primary care. I believe your comment was more tongue-in-cheek than anything else, because there is no way on earth anyone could be that stupid! Or, maybe you are that stupid if you are in the HO!

When home office people come out for field rides they are seeing a milk run of 8-10 perfect calls that were set up weeks in advance. No driving distances, drs set up for a vip coming in for a chat, etc. no wonder they think we can see 8 a day.

You chumps don't know what good looks like. Listen and learn from your boss when they are with you.

Why does it matter what the call average is? Just put 8 calls in and go sell something. This is sales, not a check-the-box job. If you all spent more time focusing on calling on meaningful drs and having the appropriate conversations we could grow business a little quicker and meet our goals. Instead, you all focus on call averages, goals, whos riding with you, samples, etc....

Just shut up and sale something, you aren't getting paid minimum wage

If my manager had to take a hallway call from the very beginning until the very end, they would dissolve into a puddle of sweat! The vast majority of calls (not L&L's) are 30 second hallway encounters. What management doesn't realize, for some reason, there are numerous "partners" in that particular office every week! If I here them talk about "patient profiles" one more time, I think I will puke! Managers don't take into account that a doc, more than likely, has seen it dozens of times before! They think every call is a launch call, which shows just how out of touch they are!!!!!

Face it people. Brin is in a market that's 98%+ generic, while Rex is 95%+ generic. It's a miracle we sell as much as we do with how poor (98% of states anyway) our managed care coverage is!

One last question. I would love to hear examples of just how a manager helped increase business by their actions in a call on a field ride! Just a couple of examples, if you have any, would be nice!

Ok, Ok! I will give you examples of how my manager increased my sales! Well, there was a time when, uh, uh, uh. Well, I just can't remember exactly how he did it, but there was another time when he, uh, uh.....hmmmm? Let me get back with you on that!

Try taking the focus off of yourself. You must be a mommy rep. Me me me... I see your kind all too often. The docs see you mommy reps too. Ride alongs are designed to ensure you mommy reps are actually out earning what you are getting paid to do. Stop complaining.

Interesting that Gammas in my area average a little over 5 calls a day with one making 3. Betas are well over 7 calls. However, our manager places the blame with Trintellix on betas because we launched the drug. They definitely work less and get paid more!

Gamma were brought over with account mgmt exp and their higher salaries reflect it. That's why they are managed differently. No need to beat gamma with a stick. They are bottom line and have the relationships.

If Gamma is so great, why did Trintellix sales DECLINE in Q2? Gamma is here for one and only one purpose. Make enough calls to keep Takeda happy and get Lundbeck a milestone payment. Period. They are worthless from a sales standpoint.

Why are they the highest paid sales force in the company?
