If you go to the Novartis board, this product sounds like a nightmare to sell. Poor managed care coverage, etc. etc. According to the posts, there are several people already on PIP plans for low Entresto sales. Not meeting forecasted goals. One thread said that the only sales reps doing well with Entresto are either those with speakers in their territories where the speaker is writing a ton of scripts in their practice or those territories with university teaching hospitals or very affluent territories where patients are willing to pay big money for their scripts.

My territory is quite rural, so it seems like I might be walking into a nightmare position. It's a job for now, but I will definitely be continuing to look for other employment.

I've also heard the Novartis manager in my area is a total nightmare. Oh what fun this shall be!!

I understand your thought process. I've read the Novartis threads too and I've looked up managed care status and it's not good. But I think it's important to remember a couple things:
    1. From my experience Cafe Pharma is mostly negative comments from people with negative attitudes. I would bet that most successful reps rarely get on Cafe Pharma. I only get on CP when I'm looking for a job like when the DS4 AZ diabetes contract was terminated.
    2. The reps talking about being on PIPs are probably poor performing reps who've always been low performing.
    3. If you start out with a negative attitude you are only going to create a negative reality for yourself. Go into this new opportunity with an open mind and positive attitude and see where it takes you. If it turns out to be not good then you look for another job.

Good advice, but Untrusto, and all you read about it on CP is true. It is pure crap.
Drs. At least those we havent bought, Don't believe in it, managed care realizes it's crap, and Novartis is truly a shit company. Shit drugs, shit management and too many,
    Shit reps.

Contract will only last 6-12 months. They just needed the extra voice for now.
