What a rude awakening when these deals end and the new deal needs to be signed. No more Mr. Nice Guy, people either sign or find a new job.

Are the new contracts 1099 or w-2? If they're telling us we can't sell other products then shouldn't we all be employees?

We are signing 1099 contracts where we cannot sell other lines! This is a joke. The thinking is that the new ZB has a product for every condition and we have no reason to carry other lines. The smart people already left this mess.

Every division of ZB is big hat, no cattle. It's easy to have the blinders on when you're sitting on options in warsaw.

We were given a 2 yr deal to shut up and go back to work. Now we find out that almost every rep has a different deal on their contract. Our 2 yr deals are looking like total BS. Other areas seeing this? Management reneg'd on their word?

everybody got similar deals unless you threatened to leave or local management felt they had to give you more to keep you happy. GM's (direct) are paid on managing budget so it's in their best interest to pay you as little as possible, not hire additional internal staff, etc. The guys out west knew sales were going to drop that's why they are closing Costa Mesa and only hiring temps in the other facility. If they don't keep cost down and sales don't increase they get no bonus and make much less than they were used to. Bad system for everyone

It's interesting how the local management has now authority to make decisions anymore. Everything has to have AVP approval or above to be agreed on. It's not a level playing field for the reps anymore, the guy you work next too always has a different deal.

Local management is really a joke. The old Biomet distributor was fired and the Zimmer manager was demoted. The new hire manager was a pitiful rep who never hit quota! We have strong reps but management is nonexistent.

that is better than what i got into
    In SFla!!
We have a non existent Biomet distrib who no one ever sees
    He has no managers
No leadership and if u question anything he fires you ( only us Zimmer guys)
He had biomets busted for stealimg power equipment and 5 reps signing in under one rep trax account
He has reps selling other lines
And has never stepped foot in the majority of hospitals and the majority of dr dont know him
    What a joke
Pays to have been on the biomet side

what is everyone thoughts in regards to transferability of contracts from one distributor to the next in the merger. Is my contract still valid even though I signed it with my previous distributor and have not signed a new one with the Biomet distributor

End of the year is coming and there will be changes! You really didn't think these deals would last forever did you?
Ours already changed and it's not good! Rates will fall and you will pay for the support that has been provided
