The car allowance is NOT taxable. It is merely a reimbursement for wearing out your personal vehicle and reimbursement for your automobile insurance and oil changes, tires, etc.
Those are all expenses which come out of your pocket

Why in the heck are you'll talking about a car reimbursement??? It does not apply in this instance since we are getting company cars!!

Someone commented earlier that the $600 car reimbursement we received on the prior contract was "tax-free income".

Well, I can give you hope!

My good buddy, who was on the Summit team and a diabetic who uses the device, was beat out by a CSA rep, with no diabetes experience, for the DEXCOM contract. WOW!

No info on rooms yet, but I am thinking that with the length of stay and in with HR issues in recent years, we will be getting our own rooms - I sure hope so!

sorry to beat a dead horse but you have obviously never worked at Publicis before. The car allowance is considered taxable. Not all of it-it depends on how much mileage you will report.

EPBU rep here. I was on the Merck contract for the full six years and had consistent numbers especially over the last three years. I didn't get a call for the Novartis job, didn't get a call for another Publicis direct hire referral (for which I found out they referred someone who had been with Publicis 1 year selling respiratory like me), and just lost out on an another Publicis position for someone who had not worked in the industry for many years. They need to have some type of fair process to place reps who have lost their contracts based on performance, disease state experience and tenure. Apparently there is no rhyme or reason to the process now.

I too was on the Merck contract EPBU. I was number one in the country for the months of Jan Feb And March2016. I too have been overlooked for any of these contracts. What is the process? Don't understand

That's crazy. Don't think there is a process in place. Seems to be random.
