He clearly knew his ass was on the line and decided to leave before he got canned. Either he won't be missed.

The sad thing is he will be able to convince some other company that all his failures here were actually the fault of NVS and not his incompetence. Then again, he's gone and we don't have to deal with him anymore...woo-hoo!!!!!

  8. Meanwhile at his next job interview...

Hiring Manager: Mr Miracle Maker, How are you going to convince us to forget the mess you left at Novartis ?

Dick "Entresto Titanic" Smith: It's simple... "I'm going to be a generous and servant minded leader, even if it hurts me when I pee"

And when you go to that same company, there he will be. Small world, pharma is. Lots of recycling

Who will replace Smith and the Marketing Director? This is important. With so much change and a new launch, someone with true experience and leadership will be critical

Any thoughts on what will happen now?

Nothing will happen or change. You don't get a second chance for a " new " launch. The product was launched. The first six months were crucial. That was a failure. The product has already been positioned in the market place for a year now. I only know of one product from Novartis that was relaunched into a success and that was long before managed care ect...
