What does the compensation package for a marketing director look like in US? Base salary, bonus, etc. Currently working for small pharma and considering open opportunities at GSK. Thanks in advance.
Base ranges from $150-250k, bonus 25-75% of base. Stock is about 800 to 1200 shares per year with three year vesting period. GSK has great compensation and is a terrific company. Once a new CEO arrives and some of the deadwood is chopped out, it will be a much nicer place to work.
You are walking into a sinking ship. You may or may not survive the storm. Factor that into your salary negotiations. It may be worth the risk for the right price.
I see a lot of VP's at GSK. Folks with much less experience. How does the pay grade work? recruiter telling me that the role I am interested is grade 4. What varies with the grade? short term bonus? long term stock? Thanks
Can anyone shed some light on difference between grade 4 and grade 5? Mainly in terms of bonus structure and stocks? Years of experience needed for 4 vs. 5. Thanks
In some cases, you cannot go by titles. There are a few departments in which people have VP titles, but are actually at the Director grade level of 4. That is why it is best to focus on grade level and not a particular title.
That helps guess just like banking! Thank you. Hate to push my luck but another quick question.. What are the key differences between 4 and 5 especially when it comes to the bonus structure and stocks.
Depends on your gender. If you're a woman, make sure they issue you a pair of thick knee pads for your monthly service, and if a man be sure they pay for your golf clubs and bike helmet.
