I was looking yesterday the last L2 chart that IMO published, and it was so strange to find in it the names that come so often here...Perry, KK...in the new whatever company that is going to be created. After months of reading these annoying forums, I must start realizing that things will soon change for us at Baxalta.

Anyway KK or Perry won't ever cross my way (I work in Europe for Hemoglobin) , but it was quiet a strange feeling reading their names on the L2 chart...of our "new" company...

Well...I hope that changes will be for good...must stay positive...

Troll Alert!!! Baxalta does not have a "Hemoglobin" division. Nice try- it's hematology.

Well tried! I didn't write Hemoglobin "division"! For us, insiders, Hemoglobin is all related with Hemophilia. You have a serious nightmare with your trolls!!!

It is odd that the T.O plant, Westlake Village, Hayward plant, Neuchatel, are not on the Shire Location webpage. Wonder if they will be closing these sites? Does anyone know?

I work in one of these plants you mentioned. We are expecting to be hard touched by Flemming's "synergies", but closing the golden eggs of hemophilia right now doesn't seem to be on the charts, but all I can really say is that nobody at my level knows a thing. IMO's information is Alice in Wonderland. All this really sucks...

I had the same impression when I didn't see those locations listed. Time will tell, but an interesting observation.

Neuchatel, Singapore, and Thousand Oaks have been added to the locations, just saw it this morning. Hayward and WLV are still noticeably not there though.

We don't hear much about Baxalta. Doesn't seem like we need to be concerned about them, do we?

Yes you should be very concerned about Baxalta. They have much higher salaries and much better benefits than we do.

What "benefits" are you referring to?

What is a chance that Shire eliminate Baxalta departments like Pharmacovigilance and people will get laid off? Baxalta has Global PV in Illinois and should people work there be concern? Does Shire needs 2 Global PV departments one in IL another in Massachusetts?

Yeah, they might not have looked at that yet. Isn't there a milestone for the org chart later this year and another one mid-next year?
It's not just PV that needs to be concerned though - it's everyone. Because they have targets they are trying to meet and will probably be cutting more jobs eventually. So we all need to be worried. Even people in the field.

We just had an org chart review in August in PV in former Baxalta. Our new Head of department is in Massachusets, but everyone else stays in Illinois. Nobody told us there will be another revision of org chart next year. Will it be? We are so concerned about our jobs. They give us minumum information. No salary range with new titles, no benefits overview, no vacation policy. Nothing. Right now we have vacation and sick days and work from home two days a week. Will it change? Either management does not know themself or they intentionally do not disclose this info.

Just like every other company that acquires another company, Shire will be looking at the size and structure of Baxalta. If you are oversized and have too many people, they will make cuts. If you are small, making your numbers etc you should be fine. I don't know how many divisions there are within Baxalta.
