I emailed the Internal recruiter yesterday because it's been a month since I interviewed for the IO oncology position to see if I was still being considered.

No response. Just a computer generated email in return saying I didn't get the job.

    What a classy organization.

What's with the sense of entitlement? Why are you owed more than an email? You were not hired because they did not want you. Clearly that was a good move based on your post.

You'll never know all the pain, humility and degradation you were spared. Consider yourself lucky and look for a good company.

What a bullshit response. Most people from most divisions agree that BMS treated internal candidates shitty. They deserve a little better than an automated response, and they deserve some priority consideration. And yes, I expect the previous poster to come back and say "they didn't want you, get over it". BMS DID want us. That's why we were hired in the first place, but if you are talking about entitlement, the oncology team knows all about that.

Why do they deserve better? From my understanding they paid you a ton of money in retention. Yes they hired you, but people make hiring mistakes all of the time. This was a great opportunity to sort through all the reps and managers and keep the ones they wanted. It's business.

I would think a computer generated email is appropriate for those who don't get a face-to-face interview. If you were interviewed in person, I agree that to not get a call from the hiring manager or recruiter is tacky.

Maybe. They took many lower-performing (at least as rankings go) reps from HCV. It really does seem that the only candidates they took from HCV were those who were suck up reps to the HCV 'leadership'. So with that, I have to disagree that the "best' reps were taken, as it appears the reps who taken from HCV at least, were overwhelmingly butt kissers. I don't have a dog in this fight by the way, so keep your snide remarks to yourself. And from what I understand, the HIV reps who applied had it far, far worse.

So you are telling me that the top division, with the most promising future in pharma, said, "Umm, I think we want your worst underperforming reps. Oh, and please make sure they are butt kissers." Let it go. Choose a different angle.

They did, you idiot - said they took the SUCK UP's! Is that a different enough angle, you dumbass?

Merck reps are the best reps and they took quite a few.

Not. Genentech. Merck is no better than BMS with pods of 20

This is actually true. The HCV reps they took were the lower performers which means their retention bonus (which was in good part performance based) was substantially lower. I think from a financial standpoint, it cost less to keep them around. The high performers made a lot of money and could go longer without finding a job after the layoffs. Maybe in some weird way they thought this was fairer

I don't get this. Why did Merck reps leave Merck and go to BMS? The overcrowded pods should scare them off. Makes no sense

Yep. I got turned down as well. When I asked why, the hiring manager said, "You did very well in the interview, but unfortunately your numbers are too high."

A amore likely reason is that you didn't kiss the right oversized butt cheeks.

Take a whiff of your bed and make sure there's no shit in it. If you shit the bed in your interview, don't blame the recruiter. Or the delivery method. Clean up the shit and move on. Sniff sniff.

You had better hold your nose for life and not sniff because you are a piece of shit and you smell like it too. LOSER

It's a CLASSLESS organization. Be glad you didn't get the job. Most people here hate the job, but get paid a lot of money so they won't leave. It's so imbread, it's disgusting. Try Genentech. They have class, good people and will treat you with respect.

They don't take care of their good people. Everyone in the industry knows it. Stay away
