The Trintellix announcement was heard on cafe Pharma months ago. I thought it was a joke, but the joke is on all of us. The story for the name change seems questionable. It would have been more appropriate as a name change with a separate indication as Glaxo did with Wellbutrin for MDD and Zyban for smoking cessation. I'm concerned about the confusion our competition will cause to disrupt Trintellix growth. Probably by the end of summer it will all be behind us. That's why we get paid the big bucks.

Most of what is "leaked" here on CP is true. Maybe if the home office would pay attention......

It is even more apparent that Takeda could care less about Brintellix/Trintellix. There hasn't been a post about the drug on the CP board at Takeda for months. Just how little do their reps care?

Takeda rep here. Can't speak for everyone, but I feel like I speak for a majority of reps when I say we care. What exactly would you like us to post on CP? Should we be complaining, whining, cheerleading or maybe just out selling? Not sure what the situation must be in your area, but please don't imply we don't care. That doesn't help anyone.

Maybe Takeda reps care. Maybe they don't. What I do know is Takeda controls managed care and it is not only bad, it is worse than in 2014. I find it odd that if you care, you would be complaining loud and clear to your management and none of it would be leaking onto CP. If you care, let us know you care. Show it.

Why after 2 1/2 years would the name change? Hopefully we will hear more at the NSM. I look forward to hearing all the speculation. Thank the Lord for CP, at least we are not totally in the dark all the time.

This drug was doomed from the start. I mean you are competing in a generic market with drugs that are superior to your cost prohibitive branded drug. No managed care help can fix the reality of that.

Big Pharma model here. Lots of pods, metrics and call frequency to milk a me too product dry that will cap out within 2 years with a very low market share. Of course when that peak happens, lay offs will occur.

Could someone explain to me why with a "relaunch" of a brand, samples are at an all time low. Based on what i received, i can leave 3 boxes per day until i get my next shipment. KP, any insight?

Just accept your pay check for what it is. Easy money for the next 12-18 months until the bottom falls out here and major down size occurs.
