The funny thing about OBU reps is that they think selling Avastin biosimilar will be about promoting Avastin like it's a new drug. Your docs have only been using it for the last 12 years. Of course they know what it's indication is. All you are doing is convincing them that by not using avastin, they aren't compromising on quality. Once payers mandate them to use the biosimilar, no sales force is needed. If they have a question regarding the uses of the originator product, they are going to a med info request with GNE not Amgen.

Wow. You drank the Amgen kool-aid. Keep on drinking, just don't insist that everyone else drink it too...

    'Culture' how about benefits
Time off: more at Amgen , yes you get sabbatical but I'd rather have summer shut down
401k: six years to match at gene! 100% vested at Amgen same 10%
    Insurance: less out of pocket
ESPp at Amgen none at gene
Yearly stock grants at Amgen on performance, yearly stock grants at gene only as corporate wide goals
Presidents club at Amgen not at gene

I will take tangible versus culture any day

Then why don't you move on and find a more rewarding job? I respect people that decide Amgen is not for them and then go out and get the job they really want. Why does it bother you so much that some people actually think this company is a good fit for them?

The fact that you have no initiative to get another job, continue to post your negative comments, and try to infect those around you with your horrible attitude is what is baffling to me. Actually, it's quite sad.

What is sad is that you only want "your" experience reflected here. Anyone with a contrary experience to yours is viewed by you as being "negative" and "infectious". Why? Because our experience is different than yours? You are perfect for the "never speak up" culture at Amgen. The are a variety of reasons why people stay at jobs and companies they are not thrilled about, doesn't make our oppionons or experiences any less valid.

Does anyone know any good onc. recruiters. I made a big mistake and need to get out of Amgen.

You have every right to feel the way you do. What I don't understand is why you feel the need to come on here and continually bash the place that gave you an opportunity so many others would want and appreciate. Does it make you feel better to spend your days trashing Amgen? I don't know why you feel the need to stay at a place where you aren't happy. I get recruiters calling me at least once a week about oncology jobs. There are a lot of companies looking for people with oncology experience right now. It shouldn't be hard for you to land a job that you actually find rewarding. Take your own advice. Just because YOU are miserable here doesn't mean that is everyone's situation. Gratitude will take you far in life. No one enjoys being around a Negative Ned personality. You, Amgen, and your co-workers would all benefit from you finding a job that actually makes you happy. What are you waiting for?

Make assumptions much? I've posted one post and one reply...now two replies. Your assumption that the negative posts on here are a single person or even a handful of people is very naive. I know you and Amgen would like to think that it's only a handful of people, however I assure you it's not. Look at the high turnover and look at the fake "Ozone" culture we are trying to create. If things were that awesome at Amgen do you think RP would be spending millions on Ozone? Add to that the sheer volume of people on the Amgen thread proves that it's far more than a few Negative Neds. Look at the number of posts compared to other companies. It's crazy and it shows that there is a lot of negative sentiment at Amgen. If you don't follow that you have your head in the sand. Ignorance is bliss for some I guess.

As I said before there are a multitude of reasons why people stay at companies they are not happy with and just because they are less than thrilled doesn't mean they go about 'infecting' their colleagues. This is not a company sponsored board, this is not the S1 meeting, this is not ASCO, it's a blog where people provide their opinions. In your world only people who love Amgen should provide their experiences, and anyone who doesn't love it shouldn't express their opinions or they should leave...and then you would say they shouldn't care or have an oppionon anymore since they don't work here...so that leads to what you want I guess-having only current employees who love Amgen being allowed to post. Do you hear how crazy that sounds? Probably not as the blue kool aid is clouding your sense of reason...and my guess is you like it that way.

Dude, move on already. I'm embarrassed for you.

Not a dude, and my guess is I've been here for a decade longer than you at least. I'm embarrassed that you think what 'this is' is 'good'.

Neutral observer here... You've been here over a decade? And are still unhappy? Can't be that bad if you are still here. Either it's not that bad, no one will hire you or you are complacent. Either way you don't look good. I gotta agree, get another job then....if you can.

Why is the Poughkeepsie, NY Oncology position open again? Is it the territory or manager?
