Hi, I am looking at a position with Pfizer, and wondered what drugs would I be selling? Is this a good job? What are the starting salaries? Thanks for any information up front, I do have a medical sales background. I have not sold in Pharma.
worst company I have EVER been with. I quit and it was the happiest day of my life. Don't waste your time and happiness. RUN
You will not get a job with Pfizer with no pharma experience. You will be used to drive up interview numbers only. Try a smaller company first.
Take the position Pfizer is #1 in Pharma. Never any layoffs management is terrific. Don't mind the angry people who sit home all day posting. You see, they were terminated for cause.
Two sides to the division or business unit. Cluster 1 - Pain and Urology Lyrica (until sometime 2017-2018. HUGE loss and is the drug for division) Embeda (good things, but an opiod) Toviaz (complete turd) Viagra (until December 2017. Big loss) Not sure of pipeline in next few years. Have pain drug still on fda shelf and always looking for next ALZ breakthrough. Very tough disease to crack though. Cluster 2 - Cardiovascular or metabolic (yet another name change coming so who knows) Eliquis (huge for pfe and contract with BMS until mid 2020s) Chantix (good press and long patent have changed things for better. More $ is good sign) Viagra (until December 2017. Big loss, but 3 product) Some promise in next few years in cholesterol and diabetes Hope this helps.
