Any updates about investigation? Are reps being contacted at all? Any rumors to what led to the investigation. I know off-label & issues with speaker programs. Is a Certain territory & or episode. I know just rumors but I would be interested in knowing.

Ironic how the example in here refers to a "prosecutor"

yah... clear sign why the louisiana ltc manager got fired...for doing unethical work...and then teaching her reps to do that too and when caught firing them over it...they caught her with evidence on email with patient info when the rep finally turned her in for teachin him...suprirsed? not...this company deserves to get fined...so unethical hirin & rewarding unethical managers and reps...

Wow. From what I have heard it started over something(the investigation)that happened over 3 years ago. & sounds like they continue to demand unethical behavior. As a former & original member of the sales force... I would say that's really what management did... Demand unethical behavior. I remember getting a new manager who was promoted from the field. They seemed like they had good values.. Seem to be very down to Earth.. Worked with them for the first time & immediately was sharing with me incredible unethical behavior of another representative and sharing it like it was a good practice. Insanity. MM & DP I really believe should get jail time.

It could've been that....or maybe it was that DW is MM's nephew. Ooops was that supposed to be a secret? Uh sorry. I trained with the guy, train wreck from the start. No idea why he was in sales. And I'm sure MM had nothing to do with that situation....

It is unfortunate that management - MM, JK, DP have been allowed, carte blanche, to create such a toxic environment. The bigger question is why they were allowed to do this? Where was JV and BM in HR when these activities were going on? Where were the controls?

I agree. It is disappointing to see Avanir HR not doing their job managing the conduct of their employees. Playing politics to get promoted or get ahead got us where? It got us another company survey. Where is the leadership?

Well, I think MM should be terminated because this happened under his watch. DP has got to go because she was actively involved. RP - was involved indirectly and knew about these activities during his tenure managing the comm org. Very dysfunctional commercial organization that needs new direction through new leadership. Include JK in there as he is one of the most disrespectful and arrogant managers and struggles to distinguish the differences between his head and his rear end.

As an original hire. I have to say I truly believe that there are multiple people who should go to jail from Avanir. but to your quote. What do to know. Can you give someone initials who has turned something over? Is there a smoking gun? Was it CH & his psychiatrist! Was it OG & his addiction physician. Was it the nursing home charts? Is it one or a few reps who have turned over documents or email. What's the storm you are talking about or expecting.

Well today DP re-signed and we get an email that our compliance officer also has resigned and a new compliance officer is coming into the company this wouldn't be related to the FDA investigation would it ?
It's all just a coincidence an a big misunderstanding and Denise left on her own for family reasons ?
But is going to another Pharma company in a lower position ?
    Doesn't make any sense

No one will do jail time
But huge fines will be demanded

It's a Department of Justice investigation... That's for criminal activity. This is not an FDA investigation(even though I would certainly believe there is one). If they do find there have been laws broken and will file charges I am sure the government will seek jail time. I have worked in this industry 20+ years. I don't believe that we are regulated by just simple rules.. They are actually laws. If it's proven that upper management proactively directed people to to promote of label(which they did, agitation & pain from the very beginning) or violate HIPAA Guidelines(which they did in encouraging chart reviews & direct involvement in sales/marketing representatives in helping with doing PA's) I think there is a very good chance the government may look for stiff penalties. I think this investigation will take years. They maybe discussing things with representatives and move up the ladder. As I have spoken to several former representatives... Almost in all cases they asked for exit interviews and discussed inappropriate behavior with Human Resources & compliance. When the DOJ. Starts talking to them... It's going to get ugly.
