Funny, because I average seven or slightly better than seven per day and nobody says anything to me? I am not being funny but this is the truth. I cannot imagine managers wanting 10 to 12 per day. If I did That I would run out of work by Wednesday afternoon!

This is the issue, there is no continuity between managers. My manager believes that "sales training" is only for new hires or if you need to be trained on a new product.

If I come in under 9 calls a day, I need to write a detailed email explaining why that happened because then I am not meeting district expectations.

His recommendations for CIA modules was to get into territory at 7:30 am and go to a coffee shop to complete modules before we start our day. And we also cannot take half days because they are not taken into account on VCT, only 360.

I know for a fact that even a few years ago, before I transferred, they wanted 10-12 MD calls per day around the RTP area !

my call average is 5-6. Territory access is very difficult, and ride alongs are not milk runs, rather, they show everything. My boss hates the fact that I cannot get even close to 8 calls a day without lying terribly, but now accepts the inescapable reality of it. I'm still here, and got a 3 rating in the latest opaque evaluation (my capabilities, which are proven at every meeting and conference call, rate a 2, so that is another issue).
The only reason we get so much pressure to fake calls up to 8 or 9 is to preserve management positions. I have refused to do this for the last 2 years and the only repercussion has been a ranking of 3. Yes, there has been all sorts of verbal and written pressure both privately and in public, but I have consistently thrown it right back by pointing out the access issues which my FLT has witnessed first hand. All bark and no bite, the FLLs are so full of it. Call them out on it. I do confess that I will happily take a package and leave this place, so not being desperate to hold onto this job helps in being honest and not playing the stupid, deceitful game.

Also, I took a full day for the CIA modules and the Monday teleconferences from 3:30-5:15. I was offered a half day by my FLL, but I didn't have enough time. I doubt highly that I'll get in trouble. Let them huff and puff.

All of that is going on your record.

Others will see it, if not today, tomorrow some day.

It may cause a concern or greater issue with you.

    Never cheat.

They got you coming and going.

I completely agree with the person who started this thread. I also would like to add onto the survey for those of you who get to do it, is that if they are going to start judging on sales numbers again there needs to be more to the story than just NBRX. I have many providers that have written Nrx and TRX and have never showed up for a single NBRX. Maybe every now and then that could be a refill but two or three providers every month? And no, the new vendor did not make the problem go away. Has anyone ever thought that GSK just gives us these numbers? Is there any kind of third party audit or review checking on them or could GSK just tell us your number is X and who knows what it really is. Kind of like the Patient First tests. If I am going to be judged on numbers shouldn't there be some third party reviewing to see that they are correct? And apparently we are judged on numbers again since it's all we talk about.

I also would like the company to RESPECT the sales force and tell us the truth so when we put ourselves on the line in front of the doctor it doesn't come back to bite us like yes this will make the drug free for a year. Oh sorry not the whole year. Now you can only use this until July. At last weeks Dallas meeting they didn't even have managed care on the list of objections. When has managed care NOT been addressed as a smokescreen? Apparently when it's the truth. How is pulling the coupon INTEGRITY? If it wasn't profitable for 2016 then it shouldn't have been rolled out.

Get your integrity and self respect back. Find a new job. There is NOTHING to hang on to at GSK. You will feel so much better about yourself when you see how non-transparent and manipulative the company is.

I really hope that the new CEO can turn around this disgusting company culture we have. We haven't made the top 100 companies to work for in the past 8 years. You know what company has? Novo Nordisk. They treat employees with respect and they reward hard work.

I am a top performer with consistent high ratings but feel my overall ranking is based on how much ass I kiss and it is a demeaning and degrading feeling. The rating system is completely subjective. It is not motivating.

I say this as I am filling out a Novo application... I need to get out.
