Time is up for USW in WP. They lack understanding of the future and cling to a bygone era. Let that contract run out and go walk the curb.

I cannot wait to see them brought to heel. Meanwhile let us keep production going with the salaried staff getting twice as much done in half the time. Time to end the generational system of entitlements for a low skilled, low motivation work?force.

I have no respect for the WP unions, but it's funny that this thread was next to "
    $24.2 Million for CEO"

The union did not wreck the company by causing 40,000 layoffs though a bogus merger with Schering (attempt to steal Remicade) and foolishly pulling vioxx off the market.

I had the pleasure of driving the success of the last major strike and putting the union in the ground. I worked in Chem stock and at the end we quadrupled production. Screw the unions!

I had the Merck work shoes bronzed and they sit on my office mantle. I had such fun!

Union beats company again. Probably lose another 20k company jobs over the duration of the contract. Big patent (Vytorin) expirations starting December of this year.

I'm sure there are things the company is taking back.
You don't get that for nothing. What about those temp layoffs?

You can't stay in the Poconos for 10 grand. What a chunk of change. You might get in an occasional afternoon at the Sumneytown during cheap beers after you sneak out the back gate!

The Sunday afternoons at the Sumneytown are a hoot. The local merckettes put on a grand show. I marvel on how they get up on Monday!

The Sumney was a thrilling place Friday night. The demolition crew was in top form.

Oh we had a high flying time at the bar last night. We had shots and beers cheering the defeat of the team from the mistake on the lake.
Friday is upon us and happy hour scheduled in Skippack all are welcome.
