Just wondering about the CMF division @ Stryker. Would appreciate any honest input and feedback in regards to the product line, the company, competitors, salary ect. I have a nursing/sales background and wondering if this is possibly a good starting point for a med device career? Thank you!

Great job and you will double your salary. BUUUUUTTTT, you better sell or you are gone. And once you sell and keep it up at a consistent level keep it going or you are going to let go. Great place to start. However, I dont know many women sales reps here. We bang chicks not hire them.......High Five.

Anyone know anything about these guys? Been hearing mixed reviews about these guys. Seem like a smaller player with med device with high turn over.

I work in this division. No different regarding turnover compared to other Stryker implant divisions. Of the CMF companies (there are only 4), Stryker is the healthiest financially and has the best pipeline.

Stryker should be cleaning up. Synthes has all but thrown the CMF division out the window as an afterthought.

I have seen female reps before. My opinion is that they do well BUT they often run into other woman problems in the OR. Half the nurses don't like another woman telling them what to do and half the docs hate it unless the lady rep is really attractive and super nice. On the flip side beauty and some large boobies can close a lot of deals. That's just truth.

this is true. synthes CMF gets cases in my metro territory based on years of AO penetration and $$ being thrown around, as well as tight hospital contracts. the reps themselves are not good- one of them is a total joke. synthes will always get business based on their name recognition but by and large their reps are terrible now.

Ummmmmm they have no pipeline.... Give me a break.....
The best pipeline, highest commission and growth is at KLS.

Settle down ladies. There is only one reason to stay in CMF if you already there. That is, you have built your business to a range where you are making great money and income is predictable. Other than that, leaving your current role to join a CMF company is not smart. The market is commodotized and you won't be able to make the big impact splash that will net you the big income dollars. Starting new in 2016 you are looking at a $100k on the low end to a $170k on the very highest. No company is going to just turn over a big book of business. The only way you are making north of $200k is pure luck. Synthes rep screws up or a hospital moves to a sole vendor due to a bigger corporate proposal that includes multiple divisions, which can happen in either direction now that Synthes is JNJ. Both are not likely. Why anyone with at least 2 years of Med device would look at a CMF company is mind boggling. It's 2016. Look at selling something that is cool like new tech or software. That is only going to set you up for a brighter future. Simply put. CMF is JV.

Make no mistake...KLS is big league for CMF. If you don't agree than you are not famiiar enough with the business. KLS does not throw replace CMF reps with trauma reps who look down on CMF and CMF surgeons but want the CMF job because it will bump up their sales. KLS is the most innovative CMF company out there today as far as I can see because they aren't scattering their focus.

Good luck with your multi divisional deals, which is what ALL major institutions want now.

    Oh, wait....

The best way to take Synthes competition is to make sure your oral surgeons know that the focus is going be on orthopedic trauma. They don't like this.

I thought there were still some very high earners in the division. New Orleans and Orlando come to mind.

New Orleans has been terminated, Boston terminated, New York terminated, Orlando some pretty big changes coming in 2017. If your a CMF rep and your involved in over-ordering, Bill-only plate/screw swap trickery, hiding product in ceiling tiles, side lines, expense report kick back schemes you will be let go these days.
